Maybe put it down as a probable future project, we havn't begun work as far as I know.
Oh, and dead, most people in america are gmt -5, not 6, 6 is central america and canda as far as I can tell.
Oh, and spaceboy, I'm a n00b to teamspeak, whenever I try to connect to your server it says "error" then something about a bad login/password.

Here is a tenetive list of new/improved features I compiled for fleet command, feel free to make suggestions everyone, especially spaceboy.
Tenetive features for remake of fleet command:
-Merging of commander and crew (?) and or giving the crew more to do.
-Replace old beacon based system with something more up-to-date,perhaps EUD conditions (For those who don't know, only EUD actions were patched by blizzard as they were the only part of EUD triggering that could cause harm.
-Make the construction expert have an actual point/more responsabilites.
-Improve mining system.
-More and better terrain.
-Make map 256x256.
-Include a system that allows teammates to take over for players who leave.
-Try to create more of a "planets" feel for the mining platforms, maybe have unique features to each one.
-Have purchasing fighters rely on something that feels more natural than a beacon system.
-Add a loading dock by the base starport to allow for easy cargo/unit transfer between the ship and ground.
-Make the stations in the ship mean more than they currently do.
-Relegate the training of piolets to the crew, or at least get rid of the current beacon in base system.

i like your ideas but this one is not a good thing, the player that recives most part of the units can make the map unbalanced and he would win an advantage on oponents maybe

Wait, what do you mean, you only get units from teammates who leave, as each team member is vital to your survival (Without crew, the BC captain is pretty worthless, without builder the two lack support, and without captain, its GG)

As of right now, the TeamSpeak server is functioning, along with a bit of webspace (okay, a hell of a lot) for our use if it is needed. Though keep in mind that it is a slow and crappy server on my own internet connection, so, yeah...

Sorry about the meeting - I'm not usually near a computer at that time, no matter what day it is. If it was something like 9-10 pm EST, I would probably be able to attend most of the time, but my schedule is kinda erratic. In the future though, I'd probably use a bot to go on regardless, so I can atleast see what was said.

We could set the bot in the channel to record all that was said during meetings, that would allow member who couldn't make it to at least see what happened.\

Yes, that'll be good, not just for those who were absent, but everyone involved, since we can have a record of what's occuring.

The Fleet Command Remake is going full speed ahead. Although, I would hesitate to call it a "remake", but a map based off of the original Fleet Command, since we're modifiying it significantly (hopefully for the better) to make it more interesting and less bland. Me or Shatter with post up a list of changes and additions before we start making the actual map.

Small problem in terms of design. Originally, we were planning to have the minerals "beam" directly up to the ship for the crew and commander to mine for money, so they'd have a source of income other than leeching off of the melee player. Well, apparently, you can't move mineral patches. So, does anybody have any other ideas to replace the crappy "move the BC to the crystal and back" method? Worse comes to worse, we can just remove and create a mineral patch, but I'd rather have something "better" then that. Especially since it's now possible to take mineral patches that are almost gone and move it up to the ship as a brand new patch of minerals.

I fond a GTA map on B.net and looked it over as it was unprotected. It was crap puke.gif . I fond 2 more GTA maps on SEN DLDB and they wasn't any good either thumbdown.gif . Maybe we should collect ideas, features and create a completely new GTA map that can be played in multiplayer. Awaiting ideas.

if your still accepting members then i could join as a tester/bug fixer, but i can only fix small bugs because of my amount of map making experience. im probably going to have scmd 2 or starforge so.... yea.

Sorry about that, I was kinda at work. Though me and Shatter are almost ready to start mapping...I think. I'll throw up a file I've been keeping of changes, additions, etc. Currently 1345 words in total. It's not an exact remake, there are some gameplay changes, hopefully for the better and will improve the gameplay of the map. We'd like your feedback before we start the map anyways...

One thing that we've decided is to keep the need for 6 players. And we've changed gameplay enough that the Crew and Commander actually have quite a bit to do now. It wouldn't be Fleet Command if there was no Crew to run the ship, or the Melee guy to run the base, or the Commander to run the fleet.
