It's easy for young people to start things.

If I was to try to play a musical instrument that I haven't already delved into, it would be very complicated for me (Well, not me, because I know how music is put together. I'm using my age group, which is 18)

It has been a proven fact, that if you teach things to kids when they are young, they get it easier then they do when they are older.

Partita. 3. E major. Preludio. (My favourite violin solo of all time) Listen to part of it here.

If you don't think that's lively, you have no idea what you're talking about.

So can brass and woodwind...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Toothfariy on 2005-09-10 at 14:44:03
o c'mon, brass and woodwinds have WAY better contral over dynamics and plus they create a more awsome melodey

You guys have heard too many amatuers playing strings. Pros destroy brass and any other similar kinds so badly.

I'm attempting to learn the piano. Hopefully with some work I can actually play well some day. I'm teaching myself, so it might take some time. tongue.gif

You see, piano = strings. Piano > Everything that isn't strings.

Therefore, strings > everything.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Toothfariy on 2005-09-10 at 23:42:23
well lol, percussion is string's. and percussion is too loud at all times tongue.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Fwop_ on 2005-09-10 at 23:55:06
piano is percussive, it strikes the strings and percussive strikes

The only strings I dont like are things like violins, violas. Mainly because that's not my taste of music. I like other strings like piano and guitars.

99% of all my asian friends play violins and stuff and are excessively crazy about them. They act as though they're going to make a living on it. They're like "OMG I PLAY 4 HOURS A DAY! I'M GOING TO BE THE NEXT YOYO MA!11!!1." What's even more annoying is that they're also excessively devoted to school and would quit other "unnecessary" classes like PE, athletics, etc, so that they would have time for schoolwork. Wtf are these people smoking, practicing on the violin and stuff takes away more time than school sports and stuff.

Not really. My friends on the football team go to school early at 7AM and don't get back until 7PM. The time spent is about equal, but as to which side has a higher success rate.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MillenniumArmy on 2005-09-11 at 01:26:15
Well, the athletics and stuff that my asian friends were in were things like Tennis and stuff. Tennis in our school is only like 1 extra hour after school every other day. And every once in a while do we have a tournament afterschool. If you count up the number of hours spent with tennis and compare it with orchestra to see which one takes more time, orchestra wins.
