Don't include too many music/wav files or your map will lag and take forever to download. Some people are patient, most are not. Good luck.

If you like this kind of map, and don;t like waiting, you could also try Grand Theft Auto: Mexico City, a gta map made by me. Beta versions are available in the forum of the same name!

I wouldn't like someone advertising their map in my own thread... but that's just me.
GTA is fun because of so much freedom. Your not allowed to kill, and steal in real life, because you would be screwed, but it gives curious people a chance at doing what you couldn't do in real life.
Therefore, just keep it as free as possible, but people will eventually get bored of that, so allow some missions to be added (maybe around 25 missions is nice). Don't force the players to do the missions. Allow the player to decide.
I'd like to see random events such as buildings on fire, other places where crime is happening, etc. You have an aspect that the real GTA game does not: multiplay. I hope you use this to your advantage. You could try interesting things such as multiplayer missions and what not.
