You get ipbanned usually if you spoof your name in colors or sometimes with an 'invalid name'. btw my account finally got reset and I am happy with the 0 wins 0 losses

Yea but many people claim they DO do that stuff; I used to... and was a fool for doing so. -_-
I don't think map hacking, stacking, message spoofing, or crashing other people's starcraft is used for 'fun' or making the game 'more interesting'. Maybe if you wouldn't promote hacks... there might not be any...
now can we get back on-topic here? This is the 'Hack reporting thread'. Report what hacks you've seen/heard of here. Not any arguments or promotions of hacks. I will no longer argue with you because arguing where it doesn't belong is stupid.
I'm not trying to promote them, I'm saying they would be better if they weren't used in such malicious ways. I repeat as a response to your "I don't think map hacking, stacking, message spoofing..." : I'm not saying they ARE, but that they COULD be good IF they were used that way. I'm saying that it's used for those listed, stupid reasons, and THAT's what's wrong with them. I hope you understand what I'm saying now.
BOT:
Has anyone here heard of the commando virus? I'm not EXACTLY sure what it is, but I heard someone saying something about a program that transfers it. Not knowing what it is very well, I'm not sure if this idea makes sense/is possible, but still...

Oh god. I guess I dodged the bullet then. Maybe I'll be called an ex-hacker.
I wonder how many different hacks I've used...
Oh, and, it was just a short time when I got curious and decided to see why they were so popular, and I wasn't using them to backstab, be an a$$, etc.
Hmm.. Once I've used the stack hack and maphack.. but then those days are over...

The only hacks I ever used were map-unlocker hack, to help Mike test his hexing techniques with HBC, and anti-map-hack...
I have yet to find an intelligent reason to use a map/stack/spoof/ hack...

Using them helps you think of reasons. Well, using most things helps with coming up with reasons to use them, atleast...
I use map unprotectors too...
but I use them to extract sound files from the maps. That, and once, to copy a trigger from a map and post it into mine, 'cause mine wouldn't work. Dunno why it made any difference...
Why would you need map-unprotectors to exstract sounds when you could just go straight into the mpq and take em?
Because I'm too lazy, lol.
Doesn't hurt anyone though, right?
I always "Save as: Unprotected".

UPXv1 - Upgrade Max with 1 upgrade
this topic should be pinned.
Huh? What does that do? Does it give you 1 upgrade at start, or limits you to one upgrade.
You know, with all the 1.10 crash bugs, you'd think there wasn't a need to hack.
Well lets see him...
Upgrade normally
Default:
Start - 0
Max - 3
This Version Either
Start - 0
Max - 1
OR
Start - 1
Max - 1
Thats what i think happens...
Never hacked on Starcraft but sometimes practise with friends trying to see how much we can do to the School System...

I have no clue wth that means...
Map Unprotector? Meaning if a map is protected you can remove it and open the map using an editor?
Yep. Very easy to do.
I think you can hex your map though, which of course requires much more work but it's protected your own way, so no one can access it.
Would it just take hellishly longer? And a lot of patience?
Hmm, there are new map prtectors that can't be unprotected. Yet. Though knowing people, they'll have a new map unprotector in a few months.
Manually hexing has a few risks. If you do a

ty job, some kids will figure it out and reverse it. And if you screw up, you lose the map. Of course, you DO have a backup.
That's why it's better. Even if you DO hex it the "

ty way", you'll end up facing 90% of "kids" that doesn't know what hexxing is. Only a small fraction of people actually are no-life enough to try un-hexing maps to ABSOLUTLY break copyrights of the author...
New maps protectors? Useless... I'm not even giving one month to them; there're most probably already some hacker working on it...
There is always someone working on a hack for something thats soon coming out... its kind of sad and pathetic... like on CS the day the new version came out... i got on and was playing in this server and someone had already made a freakin hack for it...
They most probably accessed the new patch before everyone else... somehow... Hacks doesn't take 2 minute to make, except if CS is really stupid just to swich little codding in the game and the hacker just have to do the same in his hack to adapt to it...
Yea i know.. its just really bothersome when someone decides to ruin the fun of the game with it.

Well i dont see anything wrong with 1player cheating but online youre right, it does ruin the fun...
Hmm, but cheating isn't the same as hacking. It's worse than hacking. But, there are some that are sometimes quite harmless (well, to me anyways). Such as the ally hack (sees the alliance statuses of players), which may be damaging occasionally, but I think it justs prevents backstabbing for the most part. But because I backstab myself, I certainly hope the other people don't use this program 8)!
And one hack I used to use was chat logging, just for the novelty of it. Nothing much useful, but stopped using it after I heard that some people go in trouble for using it since it is a hack.
You..... backstabbed yourself....
Now your officially classed as "weird" in my library

...
You know I mean that I backstab people in games, not backstab myself. How can you mistake something like that?
On another note, look at what I found:
