Well, I might have to drop out (Ian's choice) since my starcraft game's 100% messed up, I might be leaving SEN soon but I will most likely stick around to offer my advice from the experience I've had.
Sorry to disappoint you all, I wouldn't have this problem if my brother didn't pitch a big fit and tear up the game...
(I lost all the MPQs in my starcraft folder, along with a bunch of other junk...and now I can't install or even un-install)

I don't want to speak against BST or anything, but I think that his mod should be judged on behalf of the new things he puts in it. You should treat the 'classics' as the background and do not count it into the contest because they were created outside from it, and not within the given amount of time. Although I respect BST a lot, I say - equal chances for everyone

Well, unless you want to attach all the mpqs, the exes, and any other junk that's supposed to be in the starcraft folder, there's nothing you can do.

Can you download the latest patch from blizzared? Because on mac it replaces the game maps and an mpq.

I think that unless you have the MPQ already there, it won't run. Although maybe if you used SCD...

Yeah that's a bit unfair, since the whole "idea phase" is skipped, and it gives a time advantage

Because modding is a lot more time consuming than mapping. And bad luck is major factor.

(I luckily had some of the more importaint files decompiled, I even had most the terran race's grps decompiled
)I just can't test/play anything anymore, luckily for me I rarely have anything crash, since I have so much experience.
