Just played it, the layout is all very professional. I think the enemies should come to you after they get rather close to you. Haven't gotten to the point of using spells and night yet, so for using "Attack" every time still seems a little lacking. However, the battles don't drag on. Also, the control panel is very user friendly which is good. I also think the Inn is rather expensive. You spend most of your money at the inn healing and you can hardly buy any upgrades.

The cost for the inns and the meals are being changed, it will be dependent on your level. I have the triggers set up in my mind, the only trouble I'm having is making sure the player has the minimum amount.

I increased some of the gold you get for each monster, and I added the scan and money reward for the monsters in the other maps (so I don't have to make them later).

I will put level requirements on the weapons and armors next time I feel like it. I think I got somewhere on the battle glitch, but I'm still not 100% sure why it happens. So, I will have to do a little more experimenting on that.

That sounds nice.

Oh btw, just an idea. Since you are using virtual HP systems, you can add elements to your spells and there can be certain items that make you more resistant to different elements. Same goes for some enemies which are more resistant to physical attacks but not to certain element of spells.

Also, another idea is that you can have status effects on your character. Things like, Poisoned (loses ho when moving), Paralysed (Your character cannot engage in combat?), Confused (attacks teammates?), Frozen (Slows down) and others etc. Just giving some suggestions. I haven't gone through the post detailed enough to see if you've already incorporated it though.

Stamina and Hunger are already like poison and frozen from which you described, and I don't really see a purpose to the not being able to engange in combat. confused.gif I will see if I can make it some enemies run towards you when you venture too close.

Ah, I see. That's great. Well, if you can't engage in combat... you're pretty much screwed since your guy cannot fight back except run (Which means you have to restore them quickly with an item, or go to an inn). If you have more than one character your party, those who are not paralysed can still attack.

I made the Inn's sleep and meal level dependent, using a method that multiplies your level then divides that by 100 which will give you the cost (or just think of it like multiplying by 1.20, 1.30, 1.45, etc.) Using this system I can easily change the cost of any of the prices or factors by only editting about 6 triggers.

I will add the triggers for the other monsters you would see in other maps (just so I don't have to do the triggers while in those ones). Almost done with the core trigger engine, which means I will be able to more time to focus on the story and other various things.

@ Voldamort101: I need some AIM information or MSN, if you don't use either of those, just tell me to send version 17 via PM.

@ Insane: When a spot comes open (which will probably be soon), I will add you to the testers list.

Some updates:

I added Level requirements for all the weapons and armors that you can buy or synthesize. Took me a while because I had to go through every single trigger related to equipment.

I added a code restriction trigger, just for all of you who keep guessing codes. Hopefully it greatly increased the odds of a fake code.

I haven't read much of the thread but when this is finished, are you going to randomly place the triggers with the passwords and remove the comments so that a person who has triggerviewer will have a hard time to find the passwords? I mean, you can easily hide the password triggers when you have about 2000 triggers.

The password uses a formula, you would have to go through and figure out how it all works before you can corretly put a password. So, unless the player wants to get through 500 or so triggers trying to find out how it all works, I don't think I really need to scramble the triggers.

Gateway is a conservation method. I can use it for more than just 4 or 8 spells which also take up units. The gateway method is so more effective and I don't see what's so hard to use it in the first place.
