overall good, although the placement of the eye is a little off. You should move it to the left a bit.
for the other 2 did you create the backgrounds?
no those were originally screenshots from the trailers, and i "de-pixelized" them, changed the lighting (moved some shadows around on the second one), added the stars and the blown up halo in the first one, and overall enhanced the look, feel, and atmosphere of them
actually i guess u could call them Photo-enhancements?
Random thing I did...
Yes, I made it that way.

PNG files are not huge...
In my images folder I have a few 1280 x 1024 pictures that I made from scratch that don't exceed 600kb. AND there's no artifacts, either.
600KB is very huge for a picture.
A jpg picture with around 50% quality at 1280 x 1024 pixel size can get roughly 100kb and still retain it's luster. Compared to a 600kb picture it's almost six-fold. Image size is important when you're making graphics. Nobody needs those 5million shades of red, blue, or green that not even a human eye can distinguish or tell the difference between.
[attachmentid=22364]
This is the optimized version of the file @ 92.0 KB (94,208 bytes) in JPG format.
The file was originally @ 588 KB (602,112 bytes) in PNG-24 format.
The JPG format coming out to 639.13% efficiency compared to the PNG-24.
You can barely tell the difference between the two.
Very nice effect though i'll give you that Pie_Sniper. Filters definitely ftw.

I have 2 15000 x 15000 px files here. The JPEG is 9.14 Mb and the PNG is 434 Kb.
It's all relative.
Was the PNG file a PNG-8 or a PNG-24? Because a PNG-8 uses a different write format compared to a PNG-24; it also takes up a lot less space.
That JPG must have been 100% quality... lemmie guess... pr0ns?

Edai... are those sperm-lings in the sky?... Where are the originals? I can't tell it's a photo manipulate. x_x. The stars definitely need some work though. What's that thing to the left?
blown up halo
and those are plasma blasts from a wraith or something
=/

24, they're both full quality. It's just a solid red 15000 x 15000 picture.
Used in a drawing battle for some reason.

Whee! The first thing I have ever drawn because I felt like it and not in some elementary school art class. People seemed interested in adding to it... so there is a mushroom-headed guy and a guy fishing. QUOTE(Red2Blue @ Jan 9 2007, 07:49 AM)

pff, not true, when those shades are removed stuff looks horrible.
dont bother sacrificing quality for size, everyone has fast internet nowadays anyways
Blah, a tree with a lantern. Laziness to the max!

Nice lighting. I especially like the perspective on how the edges curve in.

It's actually a spin-off drawing I did in 15 minutes (kept messing up the damn branches). It's based off my final for my art class, more specifically, the corner part. Maybe I'll dwelve into something different, or maybe I'll drink beer and watch T.V. Yeah, I think I'll go with the alcohol.
Stewie picture: 6.5/10
Very good but for some reason his chest seems so wide.
Peter picture: 8/10
Nice but why is there a faded line in his right eye or his that a syndicate?
For peter thats his lower eye-lid...
and for Stewie... well... i tried.... QUOTE(Dada @ Jan 30 2007, 06:08 PM)
