I always thought NuclearRabbit was a him, until people that knew NuclearRabiit more than me told me otherwise.
I bet warhammer40000 would know.

The only proof that people have, that I can remember, is his picture. People thought I was a girl, so evidently they're not good at telling genders. His starcraft profile says male, he says he's knocked up a chick (as a joke, but it's still implies he's a guy), subtly hit on rexy...

On the net you can NEVER be certain of gender.

http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopi...ndpost&p=392118In that picture, look at her ladder rating. It's weird how she has so many 666 numbers like the post count, the one in her member profile, etc.

No offense to exo6yte, but that could be easily photoshopped.

nuclearrabbit, may you rest in peace, as you will be sorely missed. Best wishes to his/her family and relatives., and I hope they can make it past such a grieving time. Nuclearrabit will be greatly missed as a friend and member of SEN to everyone. sad.gif

But should we not be celebrating the life of nuclearrabbit instead of mourning it?

All we really nkow about her liff is that she liked to blow things up.

We can celebrate the life of her next year, we mourn now.

The entire Mac section of our DLDB was submitted by nuclearrabbit.

Indeed. Handy text color palette, StarFire Edit fix, all those modding tools (though I know not how to use them..)

If you want proof, log on to USWest, add Nuclearrabbit to your friends list and check Nuke's profile there. It's still there, and it even has the little fad we had going on in Custom Maps where everybody put something similar to "Chaos_Blade[Sc] xxx" (In my case, I wrote that I gave Chaos_Blade[Sc] AIDS). It isn't photoshopped. And why are we still talking about this? Nuke's gender doesn't matter.

That's really awful... I'm gonna ignore all the lame and irrelevant posts that i read up to this point. I haven't been playing much SC for a long time, though i was working on nexusD a bit recently... I think i may have even noticed (i guess i'll go with "her") her a month or two ago...

She was a very interesting and funny friend, we often talked on West probably well over a year ago now, i have no idea how long it was now... i remember helping her with coming up with a name for her map editor, and saying she should use something with fusion, as she was combining a couple different editor things, i don't even remember what now... and obviously cuz she was nuclear. =P I remember asking her to make it for windows first instead of mac jokingly... and also noticing it get very little progress. Did she ever finish something like this?

I really pray she had an epiphany before her end. I meet very few people in this world that make me interested in them. I always actually looked forward to talking with her, even though at the time i merely assumed she was prolly a guy. Note that guys don't usually score high in my book, so it would make some sense actually, if she was a girl after all. But, in any case, it is hard on me when i hear of someone that i respected and even looked up to in a way, has passed, and not without warning. I unfortunately ... now that i come to think of it, i think i did hear her say that, that she had a brain tumor... i wonder if i'm making things up, but i think i thought it was prolly a joke... i hope i was sensitive to it at the time if that was so.

Nuclear was one of the few people that would say hi to me when i came into the custom maps channel, and that i actually cared. I hardly ever go on SC any more, i wonder if she ever was / still is on my friends list... it'll be an awful feeling to have to delete that.

And by the way, I find the memorial section a very good idea. It's not like you have to visit; it's just there to pay respects, just like we do for people in the outside world. It certainly isn't being obsessed with it. Just being respectful. I would ask that this thread would be put in such a section, but it seems kind of like a disgrace now, 9 pages of mess. Perhaps it could simply hold some thoughtful notes on the subject, and their accomplishments / part in the community.

At that, I ask that she be respected. And I genuinely hope and pray you find peace in this death, NuclearRabbit.

[Edit: this song just came on, i wanted to post the lyrics i happen to have on me.]

-Do As Infinity- Rakuen ("Paradise")
Translation by: Trish Pellerito

verse:
Everyone understands
The scars won’t fade.
How long will they last?
We don't need them anymore.

Everyone yearns for the day
There will be no fight.
Wounded soldiers,
You recall a
A mother’s warmth.

chorus:
In this desolate, endless world,
Drawing our own map,
Restraining our tears,
We keep going.

Stand up now,
See however many times
Sleeping lions awake,
We go on into tomorrow.

verse:
Everyone carries
A fragment of love,
Although we feel hate,
Nothing will be born from it.
That is a useless thing.

chorus:
There is little time for a journey
A paradise we've yet to see.
As far as it takes us,
We keep going.

Don't look back.
Look only forward.
Until your body withers,
Live on to the future.

partial verse:
You remember
A mother's warmth.

chorus:
In this desolate, endless world,
Drawing our own map,
Restraining our tears,
We keep going.

Don't look back.
Look only forward.
Until your body withers,
Live on to the future.

People won't like that. I know now what they'll tell you: humour isn't fit for all circumstances. 'Course they'll say it in meaner ways.

I haven't logged on SEN in a while and haven't posted in ages, but this is one instance where I had to say something. I never really talked to nuclearrabbit much, but I read many of her posts, I knew she had a brain tumour for some time and was going to die soon but this came out of nowhere. When I first saw the post I was in disbelief that she was actually gone... And for you people who say she is faking this, that's your opinion and doesn't belong in a memorial thread to Nuclearrabbit, keep it to yourself. This is especially bad because my uncle died today as well...

R.I.P Nuclearrabit, may your spirit live on...

I've talked to her a couple of times on MSN, but I didn't know her too well (I would never have guessed she was a girl o.O)
