Well, I didn't feel like bugging Ian with compiling the iscript files and my IceCC isn't compiling.

Also, it's your choice, do you want a HUGE mpq you have to download or would you prefer to do a few steps? (I tried to make it smaller, as the judges might have dialup. tongue.gif )
P.S. ducky, fix up your profile! (it stretches all your posts, making it use extra lines)

Send the iscript to me Terrain, I'll compile it for you.

Corbo/KK: How long would you say it'll be before we get the contest results? Two days? A week?

We already said, 6 months tongue.gif

Fine, but now I have no where to put Oktoberfest link. Thanks a lot angry.gif

Seriously guys, have you judged any of the mods yet?

How big was everyone elses mods? Mine topped off at .64 MBs. Yes, that's not a typo.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by BSTRhino on 2006-09-18 at 19:38:12
Well, I didn't have an GRP files or anything, so Ultimate Doom was pretty small.

I've seen the threads about the other mods and I honestly don't see myself getting a placing. Maybe I should've just made some other mod instead, since I guess I did spend most of my time redoing the original effects even though I knew they weren't going to be judged. Maybe I could've helped one of you on one of your mods, that would've been real fun, we could've used all the new iscript techniques that I haven't revealed since Zerg Doom! Gosh I can just imagine Antithesis Rising with some of that super-powered new iscript effects, how cool would that be?

Oh well, at least when I see scattered bullets or other effects I came up with in the first-place mod I can be like "I discovered that effect! w00t!" It's still not as cool as making a full-scale mod though. Maybe I should think about that, helping out on someone else's mod since I think Doom has run its course. Hmmm...

Edit: Don't get any ideas, I honestly don't have time at the moment. I'd probably work on the Starchitects team mod too if I had the time.

My zip was 1.28 MB--1MB of that was patch_rt embedding and another 150K was the exe.

@BST: Yeah...the fanciest iscript work I did was a cool air attack for the DT, a totally coded-from-scratch unit script, and a couple Zealot idle animations. I had scattered bullets, also. tongue.gif I don't think Doom has quite run out until Ultimate Doom is released--I, at least, am ready for it.

Looking at what you've done, its pretty impressive stuff, BST. And you've redone every effect, so they're not really the same (plus the fact that I can't remember what they were in the old ones tongue.gif). Plus, you've ironed out all the glitches of the old ones as well (ie the ultralisk shadow). I haven't seen all the mods yet, but yours is good.

Are these going into the DLDB, or will people download them from posts?

Probably in the DLDB. They'll probably just give you a link to the map description page from the DLDB.

Like moose submits the maps in the mapping contest.

Well, i was planning on having them judge by wednessday (yes tomorrow) but i've been sick for the past 3 days, i can't even stand being on a computer for 5 minutes, so i hope i get better soon, and i'll try to rate them asap.

I haven't started yet tongue.gif Oh well.

And as for the file size, I believe Voy was planning on putting it in campaigns and moving it over tongue.gif

So would it not be totally unreasonable to expect the results by Staurday (the 23rd?)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Killer_Kow(MM) on 2006-09-20 at 17:37:42
Hard to say. Right now I'm trying to get Voy to play Ex Machina with me so I can get some judging done, but he hasn't yet responded.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dumbducky on 2006-09-20 at 17:41:02
And then how many would you have left?

Have you played DuckyCraft yet? smile.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lord_Agamemnon(MM) on 2006-09-27 at 22:44:05
So are we going to get our results any time soon? I'd like to know what place Ex Machina got, as it's been almost two weeks with no official judging results. sad.gif I dare say we're all getting a bit--impatient...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Ermac on 2006-09-28 at 09:22:29
It seriuosly is taking too long, even if there was one judge, it should be done by now, and now there are two judges, and they still can't get the results :/

Come on guys hurry up, alot of people are waiting smile.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Killer_Kow(MM) on 2006-09-28 at 14:38:01
Its taking so long because I have so little time, and I often have noone to play the mods with (which I need to do to better judge the fun factor). And Corbo's time zone makes it hard to play with him.

I have 2 mods judges, and I believe Corbo also has 2 mods judged. Sorry we're taking so long, guys.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dumbducky on 2006-09-28 at 16:51:22
I'll play some mods after I get home from school tomorrow with you tomorrow if you want.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Killer_Kow(MM) on 2006-09-28 at 16:56:08
Simply put: I will need permission to play their mods with you. The only mod I'll be able to play with you is duckycraft (I already have done AR and EM). Luckily, I have permission to play UD with Voy, so that won't be a problem.

ADD: I need to know what version Kookster's mod works on, I want permission to play The Evil Beaver's mod with other people, and I need TF or Ian to re-upload their mod because I can't seem to get it anymore.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lord_Agamemnon(MM) on 2006-10-08 at 14:05:26
So Corbo says we can expect results a week from today (on 10/15/06). Hopefully this is true...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Killer_Kow(MM) on 2006-10-08 at 14:30:55
My internet is being really stupid, I can't host//join games at the moment and I still don't have very much time... I'll try and do it to the best of my ability. The fun factor may have to stand with what Corbo gave them.

Important News

Unfortunately, I'm backing out as a judge. I know you guys want results, but I simply can't provide them. My SC doesn't work, and I can't find my CD key. Therefore, Corbo's results will stand as the final results. My opinion will in no way effect the scores.

I apologize, but I thought this would be the right thing to do.

Thanks for entering the contest guys. I appreciate the effort.

ADD:

IMPORTANT: CORBO WILL BE RELEASING RESULTS ON SATURDAY. PREPARE YOURSELVES.
