I opened the MPQ with Mpqdraft, and it wouldn't let me open the MPQ. This was COmmandermoo19's file. So I'm going to test Jeremys's files to see if it works. MPQDraft says Arr\maddata.dat is corrupted.

EDIT:

Well, I can't load Jeremy's file. It just opens up to the FIleplanet Main Home page. This is getting annoying. sad.gif

When my turn comes, I'm going to try to balance the mod out. You guys okay with that?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoAHorde2 on 2007-01-21 at 16:16:15
I'm fine with balancing. It's just the amount of glitches and annoyingness that is getting to me.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SubFocus on 2007-01-21 at 16:18:50
I haven't experienced the glitches yet... But, I might look into those I guess.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoAHorde2 on 2007-01-21 at 16:31:22
I'm currently trying to fix all the issues I'm getting with the MPQ. Every few files are corrupted and have to be readded. huh.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dumbducky on 2007-01-21 at 17:14:03
I have pre-Jeremy version if we need to go back.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoAHorde2 on 2007-01-21 at 17:19:48
I'm going on with CM19's one, but these are the issues I had when trying to load it.
  • Every /Arr file was corrupted and had to be readded to the MPQ.
  • Several /Glue files were corrupted in the MPQ and had to be readded, and I believe some still are.
  • Iscript.bin had to be readded.

I'll have my changes down in about an hour.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lord_Jeremy on 2007-01-21 at 19:36:50
Just make a new MPQ with the Modded Files folder... Perhaps we are all using like different MPQ makers or something...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by NightKev on 2007-01-21 at 20:38:51
No this all started with the Mac person. So it's obviously a problem with PC --> Mac --> PC
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lord_Jeremy on 2007-01-21 at 22:41:03
Well CommanderMoo didn't seem to have any problems (besides the Goliath crash) so I dunno...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SubFocus on 2007-01-22 at 06:38:49
Hmmm. I honestly didn't see this coming...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoAHorde2 on 2007-01-23 at 20:20:09
No offense to Jeremy, but it appears ever since you made your change this project has been acting like hell. I'm going to try to fix up the MPQ I currently have and have DUcky and I test it and fix the errors.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lord_Jeremy on 2007-01-23 at 21:30:29
*sigh* whatever... I resist the urge to yell profanities...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by NightKev on 2007-01-23 at 23:01:32
It's because you're using a Mac (note: I'm not saying PCs are better, just that Mac and PC things are usually incompatible).
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lord_Jeremy on 2007-01-24 at 10:30:49
Actually it's likely because us Mac users have had to make our own imitation utilities that are years behind the standard... I have to use Diablo II MPQTool (after I modified it to accept Starcraft mpq files), Arsenal ZERO (with virtually everything listed as freakin' unknown), IceCC 1.2, and a hex editor to do the TBL work...
[/rant] sorry... I'm a little agitated today

Till the end of time,
I will be jealous of PC modders

Get yourself a cheap PC. They're cheap (Duh:P), and they're good enough for Starcraft. Everything is.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by NightKev on 2007-01-24 at 19:31:10
Macs would probably beat PCs out except for the fact that 90% of PC stuff doesn't work on Macs, and 90% of ALL stuff is PC stuff. You could try a windows emulator to use stuff like DatEdit 1.3 or something.

IceCC 1.3 compiles for Mac.

ICECC1.3 will only compile files for a mac?
