As long as you've loaded those images before, they will usually instantly load due the caching... That's not a TrigEdit related contribution...

Can I just ask you to put in the FAQ that there is a "compile" button? I spent the past few days trying to get my triggers to save, and I looked on all the menus and realised that "save" wasn't doing what I wanted. I knew there was a simple answer, but I never noticed the compile button because I expected something would be on the menus. I finally found it after reading posts here, someone said their "compile" button didn't work, and I said to myself "There's a compile button???" and then I found it.

Been doing more triggering and I realised the "Kill Unit At Location" action isn't in either of those trigedit help.txt files in the SCMDraft folder or in the first post, so I thought I should tell you so you could add the command in.

I really like TrigEdit, the text based form means I can use a script to mass-generate triggers if I need to. With TrigEdit SCMDraft 2 is by far my favourite editor lol

Any chance of you adding something that shows you what number lines are, that would save me so much pain and suffering.

Copy and paste to Notepad and view the Status Bar.

Or get Textpad and show line numbers in preferences or options.

After you edit the triggers you need to click on the compile button (the checkmark in the top left)

is there any possible way to import triggers made in regular staredit into the map? im horrid with code, and i'd like to be able to use the triggers. saving triggers in staredit, i tried opening them in notepad but they arent readable, and even so the open feature in trigedit does nothing.

so, in short, is there any other way i can do this? sad.gif

[center]Eventually, someone's going to make a full featured GUI trigger editor as a plug-in... You're just going to have to be patient.[/center]

Until then I guess I can just go back and forth with SCXE smile.gif

I do like doing this, though, I write the trigger in SCXE, then duplicate and modify it very quickly in TrigEdit; best of both worlds smile.gif

For those who are willing to really test drive SCMDraft 2's potencials and don't know it already, now we have the Classic TrigEdit (very similar to the SCXE or StarEdit ones). Now am making triggers in Class' style, compile and then replicate/addapt in regular Trigedit. wink.gif

Why I like editing triggers in text mode is because you could save many Unit Properties when you make some kind of respawns with burrowed lings or undead broodlings, or different effects with illusion units and something like that. I usually create one Unit Property and then point it number in all respawn triggers, instead of dull copying of same Properties as all classic mode editors do.

But somthing happened and my Switch 1 string's name points on the string of the map name sad.gif Classic editor (another SCMD Plugin) is crashing when I trying to change that switches name and the map became unstable. I wonder how can I fix it?

Question about naming switches.
This is the code I use:
CODE

0 "Intro"
1 "Battle"

When i try to compile that it comes up with and error saying:
QUOTE
Started
Error at line 3: Switch Expected

So I closed trigedit and reopened, the switch names are still there but now they are the names of locations. How and why does this happen?

ADDITION:
Nevermind, I figured it out. I have to name my switches in the triggers as well as the switches part of TrigEdit. It doesn't name them for me.
