Hey all. I am debating weather or not to cpmplete my map. I have 6 items for my map. I'm wondering if I should have more, or if thats enough. The object of the game is to dodge incoming units, while using items to your advantage or disadvantage. If you have any suggestions for items in my map please list them here.

These are my current items:
-Suckage Trap.
-Extra Life
-Invincibility
-Bomb
-Walls (Build from moving ling)
-unit slow down

Please list your suggestions. It would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I make it so you haveto collect scourges aswell? Thanks guys.

Just a question what is the reason you will need to collect scourges for? Just wondering. An idea for an item would be Trail of Destruction maybe. That would be wherever your main unit wanders it leaves a trail of explosives and anything in that line would be killed, but would only work for a certain amount of time.

These are good suggestions. However, they are too similar to:

-Suckage
-Wall (following unit)

This would plainly be there to make the game more exciting.. Perhaps, after 10 minutes whoever collects the most scourges wins? But take into consideration you haveto collect scourges and dodge, while using items.

Think I should put in the collecting scourges? or not?

Hey if you guys need ideas for bounds I'm your man happy.gif .

Some I've done ALL ARE AVAILABE TO DL FROM THE DATABASE:
Beacon Bound The level is covered in beacons and you need to cover the whole area in the level to advance. Not all the levels are explosions though. There are mazes, lurker traps, archon fields (not normal mazes - you explode your way through), Moving explosions and Timed beacons (you can only get them when they are lit). And if that's not enough you are competing against your friends!

Selector Bound There are different domains. You pick which ones you do first. When you've completed a domain you get lives. You can only enter one at once. (In selector bound 2 theres a minefield where if you get desperate you can go and pick up some extra lives).

Battle Bound There are crystals dotted around each level. 3v3 Black vs white teams. The levels range from normal explosion dodges, to flag jumping races, domination of beacons, mini-base wars across a bound level and a race across a team trap-controlled maze.

Some ideas if you want them which I will never get round to:
Climb Bound You seen the terrain by Rantent that shows the terrain climbing higher than just dirt and high dirt. It can give the terrain infinite levels that you can actually see. You'll need to be good at terrain. But all you do is make a maze going all the way to the top FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL identically the same. So they all race to the top....simple. (If you haven't seen Rantents terrain go to the terrain topic in the forum and go to terrain hall of fame).

Tug of war Bound 2 teams. A long stretch of terrain with one based at each end. They need to get to the other side and destroy a base. The further they get in the stretch the more minerals they get to buy upgrades. There could be levels that stretch away from the main level so one in the team could go get extra things.

Well I won't go on, but the main thing is to make one map and develope that ONE map with lots of different ideas within it. Thats what makes the best bounds or any map. Don't always make explosion maps!! They get boring if you aren't inventive with the explosion timing. Also varying explosion types helps now and again, or even more than one unit in an explosion.

Bounds suck, but I have a unique idea. What if I had a runway with terrain right besides it. There could be tanks or something that are allied to you. It creates units and then the splash kills you.

Good idea, but if you were to have the tanks splash onto the walking runway, how would you do it. Becuase for them to attack you could maybe put a dt there and have the tanks attack it, then heal there life, but then if you bounding unit was a walker type the dt would be in the way. So yes its a good idea, besides what i said.

Use a burrowed ling that only the player with the tanks can see and make them atk that... Its a nice idea but VERY simple..

Well, I actually made it before. But the tanks accuracy is NOT 100%. The tanks always hit off target. ermm.gif

Just wanted to post a topic on the information of how far Clan Oo has come. SOLAR and Devlin you might want to post in here to give everyone some kind of idea of how far that we have come. I am talking about how did the clan start, where did you get the idea of naming the clan Clan Oo, members participation, and other stuff that could be useful to post in this topic. Now me specificaly don't know that much about the clan besides I just joined Clan Oo roughly about a couple weeks ago, and I think the progress has become pretty good. Besides the fact that the forums haven't been getting much attention, and I was just wondering that if this post would help a little, and that we could have some useful information about our clan and what we do in Oo. So please post comments or any Oo members out there that know anything useful about our clan comment on this topic. See ya.

Snipe actually it would be good for people including the members to know a bit about the clan before they joined etc.
