I'm not Jewish, but posting Nazi symbols and the words "nazi" clearly supports racism and I don't see why it's being welcomed here, when we warn people for using the word fark.

You could just remove the banner from his signature.

And LegacyWeapon, Judaism is both a religion AND a race. You do realize there are Jewish Americans, right?

Hebrew is the race. (of the original people, many jewish followers are now russian descendants.)
Judaism is the religion.

See, that's a major problem right there. Jews are linked so much to race that many people don't realize Judaism is a religion.

I agree that displaying the Nazi swastika itself is like propagating their beliefs. Merely proclaiming that you're a Nazi, however, doesn't.

Hebrew is a language. -_-

That's like saying you can dress like Osama in school because of freedom of speech.
I'm pretty sure you can dress like Osama in school. I'm not saying some people won't kill you for it but it's legal.

What you are saying fred, is that if I were to walk into Israel with full Nazi gear on, that everyone would smile, birds would sing and there would be rainbows.
If you were to walk into America with full Nazi gear on, it would be perfectly legal but some people might kill you for it.

It's perfectly legal to dress like Osama in school, as long as you're not violating school rules like no hats in class (turbans might count). Sure they'd try to make you take it off, but sue the school district.

Some schools near our district say that guys cannot have beards; they have to be shaved. Mustaches are ok, but any sign of hair on your chin is prohibited.

Since we're not resetting the 100%, what happens when someone flames and is at 100%? (Can it go up to 120%?)

You can try, it won't work. Personally, I'd rather keep the reset system.

I'm looking at CaptainWill's Code of Conduct and it makes a lot more sense now. I think there should be some sort of... "contract" or even a "covanant", if you will, between mortals and gods, members and staff...

If it were ever adopted as an official standard, quantatative measurements should be taken out, i.e. wherever it says 'x occurrences of blah', it should say 'blah is a verbal warning', and for 'repeated' verbal warnings a warn raise is given.

Such exact measurement would lead to excessive complaint.

No, that's not what I'm talking about. Crime and Punishment and the "Content & Posting Guidelines" in v5 serve defining those things enough. (like you said, punishments not set in stone).

The idea is a code of conduct and set of procedures moderators have to follow (ie, abuse of power is grounds for removal, must include quote/link evidence when warning for a post, etc).

Oh, yeah.

I finally got around to editing this thing, everybody take a read, especially the section of warning people.

If a topic creator asks to close the topic, Should we close it for them and tell them to PM us if they wish to reopen the topic?

You should inform them by PM that they can do both themselves.

I would just say "Closed by request, you may reopen this topic if you wish" and lock it.
