How old are you? As a teen this is completely normal.. I went through a phase where I stared at my clock from 1am-8am until school and just went to school every day, i was in a cycle of insomnia and felt hopeless. I overcame it with exercise and no drugs, so you should give it ur best shot

i don't get depressed usually.

things that help me fight stress & avoid depression: playing guitar, hanging out with my best friend, cycling, goint to the gym.

muscle work out gives your brain a signal to generate some stuff that has the hormone of pleasure in it i belive.

Well.. I voted Yes lol..

I dont go to councelors because I hate their kind.. I belive my depression is a bit genetic and alot of it has to do with my freaked up life.. One of the reasons I play BW is to get away from real life lol..

Anyway I took those pills awhile ago.. It was going better when I was taking them except I felt a bit well sleepy all the time and stupid lol. So when I had taken them for 6 months I had the option to take them for another 6 months or stop taking them. Well I stopped and things got actouly yeah you could say 5x worse.. The pills are addictive.. In some way. And now I dont go to 'shrinks' and stuff.. Because that made my depression even worse. Lol... Now I just try to deal with it..

For me its like this it sometimes comes and goes.. If lifes going well then it doesnt show up. But if lifes going bad it does. And mostly my life goes bad..

But well its been proven that marijuana helps to relax the mind.... You could try that many ppl smoke marijuana to fight stress and depression.. Also Mp's idea is good too.. Basicly you have to overcome it.. Because most of the time it is just psychological..

Also depression signs are : sleepwalking, need to sleep more than usual, lost intrest in social activities ( sports, hanging out with friends etc. )
Sometimes there are even worse affects from depression but thankfully I cant remember them atm..

I get what you're saying. It's especially hard when you have a depression which makes it all the more difficult. The other night, I was thinking about this topic and thought, why not try skydiving? That's gotta be a thrill of a lifetime! While you're in the air and falling, I think you'd be so scared that you'd value your life all the much more, but then again I could always be wrong. Only way to find out is to try something new smile.gif . There's another thing I realised... When things stay the same, things get dull and boring, and there seems to be nothing to live for, really. But when you make a drastic change, like, do something you never would have expected yourself to do, for me, I did my community hours ALL day, and doing my community hours is something I DREAD doing, but I did it for a change, and my views on things were completely changed around. It was a really interesting thing, it must have triggered something in my head or something cuz it was so positive. Just some chit chat for you to ponder about happy.gif

Just gogogo. Make some promise with yourself beforehand, and maybe have somebody around that won't make fun of you if you it f**k up, but will get you to do it once you start having second thoughts, because it's better for you if you try it.

I never had the other person, just had to fight with myself, and if I still didn't do it, I'd feel even worse for not being able to get myself to try.

There's a difference between feeling sad or being depressed. Depending on what's going on, feeling sad is a normal emotion and is perfectly acceptable. In your case, RedNara, you just randomly stop playing sports and stuff and randomly feel bad now? That's...not good.

Think hard. Do something you always wanted to. When I first got depressed, everything I loved I started to hate. A couple things I used to not like, I decided to give a shot, and now it's fun. Like sprinting and tennis. Used to be 'gay', but once I started to hate video games, music, my friends, everything, i just started running at like 2 am.

Just go against any inhibitions you have, speak your mind, don't become a clone, and do what you really really want. Life's too short to waste. If you aren't happy the way you are, you can change it.

Sad too say I fear I am also depressed. Long history running through out my family (mom and dad side, imagine that...) and what I presonally do is to take up things that take away your free time. Like playin games definatly helps me cause I concentrate more on that than real life I suppose. Take up a hobby (as mister Dress-up as that sounds it works) just get your mind off it.
But ive never really talked too anyone about it. Dont know much about the pills, nor do I or have ever done drugs. And i'd prefer not too, for fear of making a crapty ass problem become worse beacuse I tripped out on some mushrooms and got hit by a car.

He simply said that he wouldn't want to trip out on shrooms and get hit by a car. It's entirely possible for that to happen to anyone on shrooms. A guy I knew did some shrooms and jumped off the balcony of his apartment.
