A person who is easy to manipulate and influence can do that. I heard about some guy who player Diablo for 12 hours non-stop, went to the bathroom and died from a heartstop. He was too "in" the game.

This might've been said early, but this point deserves reinforcement.

When you hit lvl 60 and you want great gear and want it fast. Just do 40 man raids. Not only is it the most casual way to play wow, but it's by far the most effective way of getting epics.

Casual, huh? 8 hours is casual?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Loser_Musician on 2006-11-10 at 19:06:05
8 hours a week are a lot more casual than 40.

Loser_Muscian are you in a guild? (I don't play WoW anymore.)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Loser_Musician on 2006-11-12 at 22:15:43
Ya. It has almost 500 members. That's how you get the good stuff. Just hit 60, join a good guild, and do raids.

The fun of the game, is lvling, and talking to your freinds while playing., just liek SC... oh yeah.... and owning n00bs like me lol

The fun of the game isn't solely leveling. Some say that the game doesn't begin until you hit 60.

Two hours a day is better then 8 in one day.. 8 in one day is much more strain on your eyes then 2 per day.

What brought that up?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by 94Hours on 2006-11-15 at 22:28:08
I was pretty addicted to WoW but after a while It got pretty boring because it's mostly the same thing just missions, duals, and killing fiends. Nothing really changes.

Its pretty sad, people playing for more than 24 hours..

40 man raids do NOT take 8 hours. On average, they take about 4-5 hours. (Longest I've ever personally been in is 5)
Now if you're doing a really hard dungeon and/or your guild just isn't that good, Maybe 6. But NEVER 8.

The other hour or two you should spend, is just coming online to hang out or to go do a 2 hour onyxia.

This is why I like Starcraft more, its less involved and your life isnt over if you forget to throw a spell at a massive boss that kills 15 people witheach breath. There are people like this that play SC, but of coarse it isnt required like WoW is.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Loser_Musician on 2006-11-17 at 01:33:44
That's actually the exact reason why I love wow. You have to actually listen to the raid leader, and understand the tactics to the bosses.

It all just comes down to what you like more.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)7-7 on 2006-11-17 at 01:36:16
Yes, Well though I like to be very involved like this, it is a bit more realistic to have just one guy and everything and working with others, I just cant find the time to play Starcraft, visit SEN, Make Maps, Keep Clan Mp running, and living life all at the same time. Adding something like WoW, Quild Wars, any other massive RPG would screw something in there up.

You're smart, you know your limits. Unlike a lot of people I know.

Wow is simply just a hobby. And sometimes, people try to have too many hobbies.

Yes I noticed at one point in my life as do all people, Where I was waiting to get home to play Yuri's Revenge. When I got home I felt the need for Starcraft. Then I went to play one of my maps and wanted to work on it. I then realized there isnt enough time to do everything you want. Then I think I spent a few hours playing Starcraft. I do best I can fitting Map Making in with a good protion of Gaming.

LoserMagician, did your guild ever run and finish Naxx?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Loser_Musician on 2006-11-17 at 19:59:27
They've run it, but never finished it. Not many guilds have been able to run AND finish naxx. But you may be right since I've never been there myself. Because the dificulty to it is so high.

However the much more commonly played dungeons, such as molten core. Are NOT 8 hours.

BTW - I'm gonna assume you just read my name wrong.

Yeah. But Molten Core is the lowest-difficulty raid setting. I just wasn't in the mood to copy/paste names tongue.gif.

Getting yelled at by people I never have and never will meet in reality: not how I like to spend my free time.

Only reason you would get yelled at is cus you messed up somehow... but to each his own i quess

Unless the raid leader is an immature punk with control issues.
