Yes he lost his moderation, but that isn't that big a punishment, a 16 day suspension is more of a punishment. What does he learn from 8 days?

You are saying as if he is a criminal: "waht wil lhe learn while inprisioned?" - he will learn nothing. But he shouldn't be put there in the first place, for he's not a criminal, or a rule breaker.

Common, have you seen him moderating? What is flame for him, was not flame for the former moderators of Art And Images. And you are accusing him for breaking the rules?

Judgement is not something that must be done "By the book". It must be done by the morality and wisdom of the judge.

He learns the same thing he would have learned from a single day suspension: to point out flaws in the administration by telling someone rather than abusing them ( in a rather harmless way, to boot ) . I, personaly, think of the eight day suspension as being a punishment for the poll-rigging, the only way in which this actualy did anything to SEN.

QUOTE
You cleared it up with the staff, obviously you shouldn't be banned if they are aware.

but i brokez the rule i should be banzd!

And anyways, I hadn't cleared it up with administration. Something forgotten or unknown is no better than something never done.

Seven days for rigging a poll? That's harsh, even if you go "By the Book".

Created at least 2 CTF maps, GTA classic, widely regarded as the best GTA map of them all, and other maps. He loves SEN, has proper grammar, and was an exemplary moderator. You'll find that's more then you did or what the majority of all active members on SEN and half of the staff members on SEN did.

I recall his first CTF map wasn't actually that amazing. And he had a simple bug that even when i knew nothing about map making i could do -- some skill that required?

He made a well known GTA map, congrats. Some newb that knew nothing about map making made Cat and Mouse.

Good grammar is good, but not great. Loving SEN means nothing.

He did more then the majority of active members did because he was given moderation. I recall moose putting "im not too keen of DEAD myself but i know he will get the job done." Anybody can get "the job done" with moderation.

DEAD didn't do all that much great achievements, he was just given the chance to look like he did.

Quoted for reiteration.

I think he has done nothing harmful to SEN. Why are all of you so hateful to DEAD right now? This affects none of you at all. Do you people seriously love and care for the rules that much? Why is it that he should be suspended for more than 8 days when all he did with the accounts was rig a dumb poll?

Ahem.. he did more before his moderation then you did. And his rigging of polls helped SEN, not worsened it. So, technically, he didn't do anything bad, but Moose/DTBK just have to stay by the book at least a bit and punish him.

If a member of authority said you could do it, then it isn't breaking a rule. DEAD did this without an admin's permission. Big difference.

You'll find that's more then you did (actually, I've created maps, have decent grammar, and I've been a pretty good moderator, so shove it =D) or what the majority of all active members on SEN and half of the staff members on SEN did (which isn't impressive).

Some newb that made Cat and Mouse can't help you in the MM assistance forum, and can't help you in anything MM-related.

Loving SEN means nothing? Bullcrap. I apologise, but I just can't be silent: you are an idiot. Can you imagine what would SEN be like if the admins didn't love it? Love for SEN makes him dedicated, and willing to contribute to the community.

He did most of good thing before getting moderator powers.

Edit: Oh and he makes wonderful city terrain.

@SexyPinkPrincess - I remember quite a few people played CTF maps. I remember there was 2 tournaments on it, both of which were filled with teams. He was a good moderator, and you've never been a moderator on SEN.
Also, I know him to be a good graphic designer and respected by a lot of people.

You, on the other hand.. Not respected by anyone, currently hated by almost everyone and thought of as an idiot by almost everyone, evidently including me.

If he did this with an Admin's permission, then that would break the whole point of the experiment...

If the idea was to figure out how long it would take for an Admin to find out, then telling them from the start, "Hey, I'm going to test your ability to figure out who has multiple accounts or not and I'm going to assume it will take you a matter of months. Kthx." is stupid.

Buddies? I've never talked to DEAD outside of SEN, nor on StarCraft. In fact, I think I've never even PMed him or discussed anything with him in more than three topics. I respect him based on observation.

Added rant:
I can't seem to figure out why everyone is so mad at him when Moose is now implementing a random search on members thanks to what DEAD did. You guys do realize that those members who were IP banned have more than one account on SEN and have been posting amongst us on different names, right? Perhaps people like Devilesk would get away with it supposing DEAD didn't do this and Moose doesn't start checking for multiple accounts.

I don't.

Half those teams didn't show up, the other half only showed up because it was 'in NuclearRabbits memory'

That's your opinion.

Yes, I was.

That's your opinion. I never liked his submissions to art. PS filters will never impress me.

Should I also thank criminals for necessitating resources to be allocated into crime prevention, such as police?

If a single criminal performs a crime in order to cause such measures to be implimented, when others are already doing it for their own gain, then you should be thankful of that one person. Or atleast not completely against. I can't say I agree in whole with the methods, but then I can just fall back onto a different argument: what has he done that harms SEN beyond rigging a poll?

Our admin now feels it necessary to spend time on checking for people like him. Time that could be spent improving the site, as apposed to just trying to maintain it from filth who think they're proving something. Remember how the hacker said SEN should have been better protected, and how pathetic it was that he was able to get in? Guess what, the site is free, and provides a useful service. It wasn't expecting people to even have a desire to 'test it's limits'.
