Bug found.

Open a map, go to Display Options -> Permanent Fog of War, and then right click -> Layer -> Preview Fog of War. This crashes SCMDraft on some maps. I tried Deception, the Blizzard Bonus map. Some maps work, but some don't...

[edit=1]Right click -> Layer -> Preview Fog of War is really unstable, and what I just said above does not seem to always be correct. I've gotten it to crash on almost all maps with more than default triggers in some way or another. You should take a good look at that part of the code, SI smile.gif [/edit]

I fixed this, but after the release. It should only happen on maps larger than 128x128.

well, in general I am accepting suggestions, however since you can resize the window you are talking about in order to see the tiles full sized (and have been able to ever since it was added), your suggestion is a bit to late wink.gif

I'm not gonna share the source, but I'm pretty sure .NET can create DLLs and then you could code your own trigedit plugin. The more people who test this version the faster bugs will be found, reported, fixed. And then I can reenable / recode the plugin loading code.

Hmm... SI...while I am completely bored with my mapping program... and I'll never have ISOM specs on less I disassemble Staredit... well i'm off to see if I can get C#\C++.net to integrate with your program.

Edit: Got C++.net to compile(in debug, release has library errors) and work under your program. Although i'd prefer C#...that'll be harder, i'll work on that later.

thought i would say this, not a major bug or even a bug to think of it, just akward to me. Well I was setting locations and got to the 60's and it went 60, 61, 62, 64?! just thought i would mention that. Like I said not a big problem but thought it was weird. Anyway I do like the update, when I highlight to copy terrain I usually check my dimensions and with the new update its easier scince the previous red highlight stays. Hard to explain but I like smile.gif

Well keep up the good work SI smile.gif

P.S. -

By the way numbers go 60, 61, 62, 63 wink.gif

that has to do with starcraft itself, the 64th location(AKA location # 63) is reserved for 'Anywhere.'

Since people have asked about plugin specifics, I'd like to provide a shameless link to an older post of mine (which explains the plugin interface somewhat).

I just feel like explaining why it's location #63 instead of #255. It's because in Starcraft v1.0 you were only allowed to make 63 locations tongue.gif. Fun facts FTW smile.gif

yep, but I still needa go find out why version 0.5.5 is now bugging out on autoupdate instead of having it show up sad.gif everything off the beta site and the 0.6.0 versions are working tho (so showing an update)

I have to get someone to update download here, cause I dont "own" it, and post news cause I cant use HTML in news ;(

Is trigedit working with the new version now? I think it said it was but I wasn't paying close attention.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SI on 2006-11-18 at 08:14:53
0.7.0 and the 0.6.0 version I had linked in the scmdraft forum a few days ago both include text trigedit....
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Tuxedo Templar on 2006-11-18 at 08:28:05
Excellent. Normally I'd be paying closer attention to this but as I'm in the middle of a major map I'm kinda on a one track focus right now. Either it works or it doesn't is about all I care about for the time being. Hence my reluctance to get the new version without the text trigedit plugin (which I'm trying out switching over to for my latest project).
