I myself just wanted to make maps, I thought it was cool to play Defense maps, I am not sure if any one game brought me to the conclusion of doing so. Then searching for triggers on google I found this site. This wonderful site, now I have been in two clans, Clan (MC) and now still in Clan Mp), I dont call myself the best map maker, but I believe I am very good at map making. Right now it is mostly the effort that I put forth to the map than my skills, on the way it comes out.

I believe depending who is leading the clan and who is leading other clans "connected" to the clan also hae influence. I will explain:

First off, The 3 Clans I have Been In(ALso in Order):

1939- This clan is a strong Starcraft Clan. They had some great members and every leader was good and mature except for one(who is now disliked in the "WW2" community). 1939 was part of about 10-15 major clans who were hooked on the Second World War. I eventualy left after the hated member began spreading corruption through the clan.

WoA-Ahh WoA, my favorite clan(I still carry the tag in respect). Formed by a few of my online friends. It was formed 6 months after I left 1939 due to mounts of corruption growing throughout the WW2 community. WoA was a nice clean clan(or at least on the outside:shifty:). WoA died when a member I trusted, who was also part of my "behind the curtain" group in WoA keeping the clan alive through subtle means. Me and my friends who were now running the clan decided to disband for the sake of the members remaining inside the community.

001- I don't have much to say about 001. They had jsut about everyone being a nice person, and decent SC skill. I remained in this clan for about 3 months, until one of the memebers decided to ban an Ex-WoA member from the forum and channel. In outrage, I quit, and for all I know(because I took a break off and became addicted to WoW) also quit the clan.

Now In a nice paragrpah I will say how this all fits:

After joining 1939 in the late winter of 04', I quickly became "decent" at the clan map. The clan map was palyed by the entire WW2 community and tourneys were even played on it. Due to corruption by one of the leaders(1939-Chinychin), I took a break from SC. After rejoining a few months later I joined WoA under a new name(WoA-Horde2), because I wanted people to think that who I was originally left the SC community. After quickly become a semi-political figure head, and forming the "WoA CIA" disaster struck. A trusted member betrayed the clan by IP Banning everyone on the main bot on the day of a major event. We disbanded and about 5 WoA members joined 001. Soon, One of the 001 Leaders(Wonton-001), who was corrupt in my opinion, banned my friend WoA-Fordman. After this, I was outraged and left SC for 6 months. I then for a small period of time reformed WoA in early 06'. I then joined SEN after WoA died, and huzzah, here I am writing this.

How This All Fits:

Basicly, clans can be great, you can meet friends, play games, and vent out anger. Sometimes light Rivalarys( 001 WoA and 1939 in Middle of 05') can also benifit because everonye wants to play. But then there is always the corrupt leader who ruins it all. So here is my closing sentance: Clans are fun, but are not needed, I do not like clans if they cause more harm then good.

Problem is SEN isnt a clan its just a bunch of cool people who converge to one website.

Exactly

If you look at sen and look at map making clans, you'll see that they have a lot in common. And you'll also see that sen female dog slaps map making clans into the next millenium. Only real thing clans have to offer, is that whole "clan" feeling.

I think as a whole that SEN is a type of clan, but not Map Making. It is just a group of many members that share the same liking towards a wonderful game.

The stucture of Staredit.net and a Clan Website is the same.

Yes, but I dont think that a clan of SEN would be a very good idea only because the amount of different sided members. SO many wars would break out.
