Better the education system. A large percentage of rich people don't use the public school system, but instead use private schools. Long-term, it gives people in all classes a large chance of getting their family out of the mud. Won't help much short-term, but in 30 years...

Tell that to the families of the soldiers killed in Iraq. I'm sure they'd love to find out how their lives haven't been affected by the Republican Party.

To be fair, they ARE soldiers.. but it's true that those families were affected very negatively.

The educatio system should be the number one priority, people in other countries thats all they do is go to school. They have classes like us and then they go to another school like college deciding what classes to take until really late at night.

Americans have the tendency to call Canadians hill billies. Canadian government is identical to the U.S. government. Theres no difference between the Canadian government and the U.S. government. There is no "best" or "worse" government. The U.S. just has money, and it has power. Thats the only thing that really mattered to America from the Washington Administration.

Also on a side note, U.S. is in the ITER. But the Stem Cell funds the Bush administration has it illegal after it cut its funds. However, Americans have no laws foreboding any medical practice against using stem cells.

Canada is a Constitutional Monarchy, that which resembles the U.K. more than the U.S. And I've yet to hear anybody from the U.S. call a Canadian a hill billy.

Same here.

Bush's actions are the equivalent of only allowing organ donations from live people because the dead people can't give their consent after their death. I mean, they might change their mind after they die! He is preventing the usage of the most formidable means of stem cell research.

Yeah, that's a good point. Bush claims that he's not using stem cells destined for the trash because of "ethical reasons". And while he still allows private funding to continue, that kinda destroys the whole "ethical" argument.

Meh yes the U.S. has lots and lots and lots and lots of power, and they have alot of countries that they can use as their attack dog as well. Ok this might be slightly off topic but I heard that the U.S. gets to take as many trees as they want from canada is that true?

In my opinion the war in Iraq sounds pointless.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lithium on 2006-11-26 at 05:04:27
Back your opinion.

I say the america's reason on going there was for oil. Having great ambitions there and personally, I think Bush was trying to get some cheaper oil onto his company.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)7-7 on 2006-11-26 at 09:07:40
Didnt Bush claim that the reason he went into Iraq was to gain control of its oil supply even though at the beggining of the war it was for nucleur weapons.

Democracy obviosly isnt what the people want, and if being united together isnt what they want maybe they should split up like Pakistan and India. Maybe then theyd kill less people and live happier lives. They should have governments like ours, and be able to decide by what the people want and if they don't want to live under US occupation they should pack up and move. The US will not be defeated by some rebels the only thing that could lead to defeat is us retreating from Iraq.

Democracy isn't so easy to come by....

Looking at the way our founding fathers made the constitution, even they thought that having a working democratic government would be a miracle...the American Democracy progressed into something unimaginable to the original founders.

That said, would it be simple in the slightest stretch of the imagination to "have a government like ours?"

No.

People have different fundamental beliefs, and especially in a very religiously-influenced area like the Middle-East. Besides, many people, not even radicals, believe America to the the source of evil. Are the right? My answer: who cares if they're right? America is just doing what they've been doing....

Uhm. The U.S. isn't taking the lumbers from Canada for free. Otherwise, that would've been a problem.
