Over The Hedge for XBOX 360 is going to be the game of 2007. Clearly.

After seeing Crysis in action, I can definitely see what all the hype is about. That game just looks beautiful. Period. I remember the hype surrounding Oblivion, and I'm hoping this is another big win for PC's. 1) I want to see Sony finally design a real gaming system, and 2) the Wii is just pathetic in a kid-friendly manner. X-Box's and 360's are just PC rip-offs. PC Power!

Are you sure your not being bias because you dont have a PS3 or 360 or a Wii? No offense cause if you had one you probably wouldnt say that. Maybe you still would, and the Wii is not pathetic. If it was then the PS3 wouldnt have copied the motion sensing and put it into their control.

The Wii has next-generation gameplay, it's not only for kids but it can teach nerds (People who are obsessed and annoying) like you to excercise more. Xbox 360 was made by the same company as the PC, Microsoft... so how's it a ripoff? If Crysis works on the PC, it could definently work on the Xbox 360 if Unreal Tournament III worked. FarCry 2 will have the same environments as Crysis and it'll be launched on the Xbox 360 in 2008... so point is?

Thats wat you say now. Plus the PS3 is barely like a fews months old. So wat if the games from PS3 are ported to 360? Your point is? If you want to continue this arguement go ahead.

GameSpot made a graphics comparison with the ports in the PlayStation 3 games and the originals of the Xbox 360, they said something like "Screw technology, just compare graphics". The Xbox 360 wins the graphics comparison of 2006, but we'll see about it in 2007 and 2008. So my point is that the Xbox 360 beats PlayStation 3, I'm not starting an arguement here at all.

Well duh the 360 is gonna win in graphics. They already had time to use the systems processor while the PS3 hasnt. And then again I go back to, the 360 has already been out and the PS3 is only a few months old.

That doesn't mean that the PlayStation 3 will be eventually better. Some ports have some exclusives on the PlayStation 3 version like Fight Night Round 3's first-person mode. I believe those ports aren't rushed, because in FNR3, the crowd is less detailed and the lighting is less realistic.

You may say the same thing to this, but they made a comparison to Gears of War and Resistance: Fall of Man... Resistance only won the vehicle part, that's it... Gears of War is most of a travel vehicle instead. You can find this at GameTrailers, if you're registered... you can vote per clip.

I don't want this 'arguement' going on this thread, I just want people's choice of GOTY of 2007.

A flame if I ever did lay eyes upon one. Why compare the 360 and PS3 graphically? That's like comparing the last two places contenders. "I'm not last - I'm only next to last!" We can all have a chuckle over the HD DVD vs Blu-Ray crap in a few years when 500TB+ hard drives are released and everyone has 100GB/sec transfer. Wii doesn't offer next-gen gameplay. Waving a toy around does not constitute next gen gameplay. Realistic physics, artificial intelligence, and graphics are what next gen means. Being able to choose your path to beating the game is next gen. Hate to burst your bubble, but motion sensory equipment has been around for a long time - it's nothing new.

Have you even seen Company of Heroes? I'm personally excited about Sins of a Solar Empire and Supreme Commander. You can't deny that 2007 is going to be one Hell of a strong year for PC's, and Crysis gets my vote, though Company of Heroes would have if it had been released a few months later.

CoH is pure awesomeness, yes, and so will Supreme Commander be, but I've evolved from RTSs to shooters lately, and Crysis and UT2k7 look like the strongest contenders in that category.

The expensive price of a quality computer should be taken into consideration just like you would consider when comparing a 7600gt and an 8800gtx.

Actually I'm not, I usually use PC for conversations, forums, StarCraft and WarCraft III. I smell a fanboy, please leave this topic.

I don't edit or change anything unless it's the first post. I don't care because you're just bragging, and I really hate bragging. Wii does offer next-gen gameplay, soon the Nintendo will catch up on graphics. This is the reason why the Xbox 360 wins the console war but the Wii won the console war of Gameplay. I didn't try to insult you but you are bragging about PC way too much... and the Xbox 360 is similar to PC. You're actually missing out a lot. Sure motion censore is old, but at least it's new.

Yes I have seen Company of Heroes, infact... there are RTS on the Xbox 360 itself. And I did add Supreme Commander on the "Other" list did I? Crysis on the other hand may be on the Xbox 360 if Unreal Tournament III can work. Also, for your information, I didn't insult PC at all so...

Man why does everyone compare a second gen title to a launch title? And R:FoM doesnt only win in vehicles, it also wins in guns cause like GeOW only has like 6 or 8 while Resistance has 12 or something with secondary fire. Thing is that GeOW is just blood and gore.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by KrAzY on 2007-02-07 at 19:28:18
If you understand, Gears of War was created by the creators of Unreal Tournament. And they got some sick weapons like the Hammer of Dawn which is basicly the Ion Painter from Unreal. As for Resistance's weapons, they seem average and treated as if they're a normal gun with a different design. Gears of War has this weapon with a Chainsaw attached to it. Headshots on Gears of War is bloody and realistic while Resistance (I assume) does the matrix. As for the "secondary fire", that's from Unreal Tournament that created Gears of War.

Zell, it isn't about how many guns there are or how many players there are at the same time, what matters is the gameplay, what it has and the graphics. Gears of War is dominent and superior by graphics obviously, gameplay is much better while Resistance seems like a Standard Shooter, Boss Battles in Gears makes you do some special things unlike Resistance's 'just shoot it' down method.

I'm not a fanboy, I'm just comparing between those two games. I'm really surprised that not a lot of people voted for Unreal Tournament III.

As for comparing a launch title to a 'second-gen title' (which isn't second-gen, it's the second year), you might compare it to Perfect Dark Zero but that was two years ago.

Because when PS3 titles are in their second generation, 360 titles will be in their third generation. They will always be one step ahead in software terms, eliminating any hardware advantage. The games on the 360 will always look just as good if not better than PS3 titles. And they both have 1080p games now. Your argument is flawed.
