I like it there more than I like it on the right. But overall, I hate when forums allow both avatars AND signatures.

Chu, you know you can disable the viewing (for yourself) the usage of Avatars, Sigs, or images. Its all there. Invision rocks.

Personally, I like both. A board is made to make your oppinion be heard and you should be allowed to have a signature AND an avatar...
And for personnal culture, I never saw any forums that didn't allow avies & signatures (both)... Except TA.com. And I don't like it, not being able to have an avatar, there.

I like the box. Makes better than nothing at its place. Right there, it's ugly, but with all the things to the right it would be ok.
Perhaps you should just make the box more "appealing" to people; by adding a border for example, or some skill graphical things to it.

I think we should have enough evidence to show that we would rather have it on the left by now...
Right where it is, in shorter posts, it de-lefticizes the Signatures. And it pushes the message body to the right, but only the part that's lined up with the Avatar, making it harder to read. Really annoying for the text to suddenly jump to th left.

That depends on what your avatar is. Some aren't really...unique.
