Old news. You can actually place any unit. Different combinations with the number of units alter the text to be displayed. Some combinations will even give you colour codes.

I didn't read all posts cuz I dont wanna take 20 mins to read them so if someone already said sorry but this has happened b4 in a map and wtf good is it anyways?, sounds like all it does is mess up a map and didn't really seem like it would help in any maps

It doesn't help.
It can serve two purposes:
1. The occasional fun novelty spam... maybe someone can figure out how to get it to say "Moo".
2. Going into games and abusing it to spam the crap out of everyone. The characters do stay with you until you close StarCraft.
I never really made a major deal when I discovered it because it could only cause more harm than good.

Arg... I wanted to be the one to point out that you discovered this a long time ago...
Anyways, I might be able to find a use for this sometime... in fact, I even have an idea in my head, supposing a certain trigger works...
And even supposing it doesn't, the idea is possible...
