Rarely? I have never gotten spam and im signed up on many sites with that account.
Gmail's spam folder is basically pointless, no spam gets through.

Let me tell you guys a story.
*warhammer40000 gets in his big chair by the fireplace, and takes out his reading glasses
So one time, about a year or so ago. (rhyme!) I was just checkin the mail out when i saw this weird email from the optimum online suckaz. So i saw it, and their all like "blah blah blah, some thing wrong with your yada yada, download the attachment blah blah!" So i clicked it. But it said something like "Error, could not open (or was it dl) the file."
So a little while later i went on the internet, and i saw this huge thing on my HomePage, optimum online.com or somthin. And their all like "WARNING, People acting like the optimumonline staff are emailing people viruses telling them that there is something wrong with their comp or membership or some crap"
And from that day foward,

Nothing happened!
Cause i have a Mac!
Of course you guys know that Macs just dont get viruses. Its possible. But nobody wants to target a comp thats not as widely used as a PC, and its harder to virus. (Some Techy reason)

But still, i wont ever click an attachment again. Its still very foolish. I just feel very safe behind a Mac!

I know this goes back a page, but yoshi, there is a much easier way then creating and deleting MSN forwarder accounts to dodge spam, use Pookmail,
which is a disposable email account service, you just type in an account name, then it creates an account for you (No password), which is then
deleted automatically after 24 hours.

You can open the e-mail, And look for something that sais...
"Unsubscribe"....
And if there isn't one in the e-mail... Then start deleting the e-mail, Without even opening it.
I used to get 200+ messages daily.... Until I just started deleting evrey thing... And unsubscribing... Now I just get 5 or 6 spam messages a week.

"Unsubscribe" is nothing but a tool to confirm that someone opened the email.

THis is EXACTLY like a virus. I would of opend one of the attachements, but I got suspicius when I saw 3 e-mails from 3 different sources that had the exact same ending. I checked www.norton.com to see if it was a virus. Sure enough, it was. TO see more info on this, go to http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...sober.o@mm.html . So, to sum up this post:
DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS IN THESE E-MAILS!
