Have you added the buffalo testicles yet... or are you adding them later?

Yea i have music and sounds, just not in the game yet. So during the day i have a busy restaurant sound, with like people talking and clutty of sounds going on, and at night time a pieceful sound.

UPDATE:

New time system completed: exactly like our time system, sun rises at 6:00 A.M. and Sets at 7:30 P.M.
Supermart: Opens when sun rises and closes at night. This place is where you purchase everything from employees to food and items.
- Lots of known bugs have been fixed.
- No minigames yet.

So.. how are we going to be able to tell when it's day and when it's night...

Also, what's going to be the Buffalo Testicles?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Voyager7456(MM) on 2005-05-28 at 22:00:18
Seriously, enough with the Buffalo Testicles. It's not funny when you say it every three posts. Give it a rest.

Glad to see this map is coming along. Be sure to contact me when you need beta testing! biggrin.gif

Sounds great, it makes me want to do something similar just for the fun of making it (but I won't, the idea is yours).

- If the people are black when they receive their food they will pay less than if they were grey. Maybe add to a counter each time this happens, and your restaurant can gradually be known for serving late food.

Okay, so i just got done doing the waiters for player 1 so he can have a max of 5. it's taken me alot of time for the 10 locations and billion triggers need just for player 1, when ChuOS tested with me and suggested for me to do it dependant on tables not waiters, so there can be infinately many waiters since it will constantly run though the tables... I'm just not sure if I will be able to do the burrow now since i can't detect burrow for the drone as easily.

VOTING TIME!

Should i make triggers dependant on table and you only have to bring drone to table and not burrow. Con- on the way to other tables you might hit closer tables and lose the food.

Or do tedious work and risk location mix ups between drones and make it so you have to burrow to serve the table. Con- Possiblity of mixing drones locations.

Dependent on tables. Burrowing seems tedious at times, and you'd have to properly space out your tables to be effective.

Dependent on tables sounds good. Like Ultimo said, you'd just have to space out your tables as a Manager.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Ultimo on 2005-05-30 at 09:27:12
Like Ultimo said, psh. So if the manager touches the food, he eats it? Ughhh. Is there a waiting line of some sort, or do they just walk to an empty table?

Let's see... heres the pros and cons

Pros: Less tedious work, easier to play for players in the way that all they need is bring drone to a table.

Cons: Like you said, on the way to other tables you might hit closer tables and lose the food. Lesser challenge. Tables will have to spread out more in order to avoid hitting other tables.

Pros: More challenge which will add more fun. Public people might think higher of you. Will not lose food when you hit other tables so you can play tables closer together.

Cons: Risky, very tedious. Makes gameplay a little hard. And like you said, there is a possiblity of mixing drones locations which will screw up the gameplay.

That's more or less the pros and cons. In my opinion, the first choice will be better because it isn't that risky. If you use the second one, once the drones locations mess up, the game is over. No chance to even continue playing though the second choice would be more fun and challenging. While for the first choice, it will be not as fun and challenging as the second choice BUT at least the gameplay will not be messed up and the game will be able to continue no matter what.

Shut up, your are Ultimo.

Anyways, just make it dependant.

Did I say this yet? Oh well, even if I did, I'll just say it again... If I didn't... Bah... I'll just say it:

Good luck on your map

For the Table Dependent method, would you be using the uber-fast Moving Locations method similar to what Bolt Head used in his One Location bound?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TRiGGaMaSTa on 2005-05-30 at 15:38:02
Good news, i made it so it's dependant on tables, AND you have to burrow, though i'm having a few glitches right now it seems to work just fine.

Just so you know that isn't neccessarily Beer's system. It's in very many maps and almost all of mine.

You mean Bolt's system.

You directly posted under him, and he mentions Bolt's system. You talk about Beer's system which no one mentioned on the page, unless you felt like posting randomly. Also it makes sense in the context. Not sure what you're talking about, what's Beer's system? No one ever said you were copying it. >>

Oh, OH! lol, i miss read both posts, as i was peaking in here the last two times very fast.. Yes i did mean bolt not beer.

Anyway, i think i've almost perfected the system of serving the food as it works fine just doesn't always unburrow.

How's the map progress so far? Let me take a guess... about 60%? ermm.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TRiGGaMaSTa on 2005-05-31 at 10:23:09
Well that's a good guess, i'm pretty sure everything is done but the minigames now. So after school i will begin making the 7-day triggers and at the end of each day the managers compete in a minigame for an extra money bonus.

I probably can't wait to see something like this. It's a nice humorous change from the gay stuff floating around...

This should be really cool TRiGGaMaSTa! I am looking forward to playing this sometime once you get the map fully completed, and also I don't mind testing it with you on B.net once though. smile.gif Very interesting map which will be cool with the mini-games for you to play to get extra money. smile.gif Good luck with your map TRiGGA

Oh no, don't tell me you're into making weirdo experimental maps now?

Well, it sounds like a good concept. Finish it up so I can see how it turns out.
