I don't see why blizzard needed a new patch for. Its kind of pointless. Blizzard techs only did this to "get ready for the tournament" No other reason. These glitches are rarely ever seen in melee games and are only exploited for the sole reason to be 'cool' and to be made into maps like "do 23759827534659874359 tricks" if blizzard techs really cared they would have found a way to ban maphacks permanantly. Not gonna happened..

This patch isn't pointless. It patched more than it did in 1.10 so I don't think it's pointless.

Actually, its not rare to see people using these techniques.

I've seen sore losers crash the game all the time and float templars onto highpoints where mining locations are.

The patch is better for us mappers, because we dont have to take into account these bugs anymore.

i guess..they should mind as well made it like 1.10b like they did with dII with its .09b and then later .09d..

the techs seriously need to make a huge patch on sc like they did with diablo II
i think doing this would draw more gamers in and maybe draw those who are retired players back in..becuase all i see on all the servers are noob hackers..who talk censored.gif ( i usually play west)..

Placing a P14 unit for 2x speed doesn't work anymore, but rather crashes the game. However, P13's 2x speed still works.

I never knew there was a p14 speed up... I thought that crashed didn't it? Oh well. P13 works though, and I doubt larva will stop moving around.

Check out this new sexy map. It's called Float a Drone 1.11! I just had to make it because there was a float a drone map for the 2 patches before this. So, the legend of the floating drone will never die!

Oh I just came up with a new glitch.
Do the larva groove- Select a larva and another unit, then rapidly keep pressing S. The larva will act like it's doing a little dance or something. Nothing major.

Player 14 won't crash if you use just a Map Revealer. Make sure that's what you're trying. I've played a map with a P14 speed-up fine.

New Patch=New Glitches

I don't think I need to elaborate.

Last night when I got the new patch, Death found that drones could float and I found that you could teleport the little buggers into making a building.

This is Death's floating technique... (I'm not a glitch guru so I don't know how he did it...) Having drones do the teleport out of unit wall into building glitch that I officially call "Drone Jumping" (I found the glitch so I should name it...?) can't really be screenshotted, and is hard to explain, but it makes a drone hop a wall of units and build something.

EDIT: Ok something NOT mentioned above, is that Starcraft closes on any sign of 3rd party programs reading it's memory(example: Any type of hack. Period.) This is good. biggrin.gif

I'm probably using an outdated version of the Window StarCraft. :/

The difference for P13 and P14 is that Player 13's speed boost only works on preplaced units. If you build units or create them, they aren't going to benefit. Player 14 affects all units, including those built or spawned, ie, the entire game speed is affected.

Ok, here's what you need:

1 Drone
8 Units that can Hold Position

Surround the drone with the 8 units, but give it a little space to move in one direction back and forth. Tell them to hold position.

Now, make the drone go to one end of it's small confines by telling it to build a hatchery or whatever (I've only tried it with Hatcheries, so...) out side one end. Then tell it to build one on the other side. I think it needs to be adjacent to the wall of units, might wanna try it not adjacent...

Anyway, if done properly, the little censored.gif hole (I hate drones, sry...) will go through the units into the building it's making. When I say go through, you don't actually see it happen, it jsut does.

Oh, now I understood you. Hah I forgot. I discovered that a lot of time ago. I'll try to remake the map that I was making.



EDIT:

Oh, yeah, it was with creep colonies. The first time that I did it was with creep colonies (see attachment). I suggest you seeing how when a drone is teleport some of the drones walk to there (I didnt ordered to move) near the end of the replay.

ARGH I cannot attach it here. Bah nevermind it was just putting this:

Then trying to build on the empty space.
