Nominations are gone. Sorry.

Why are nominations gone? Because people were doing too much 'vote for me and ill vote for you', or is there another reason?

EDIT: Whoops, found the answer in another thread.

I agree with nuclearrabbit, while I worked on the DLDB, we had many problems with Mac programs. It is best if someone with a Mac could be involved in the DLDB.
I agree with the rabbit and the keg of beer.

We can just have a trusted person on call that we can send Mac stuff to. We just get the occasional Mac editor and that's about it.

The same 2 people were being voted for. Although they were good choices, everyone was voting the same people, which defeats the purpose of that system. It's not a popularity contest, its a knowledge contest. Nerds prevail. Yay wink.gif

So what now? Will you nominate people yourself or leave these slots empty?

The nominations were never going to be the official way to decide. SEN is no democracy, understand that. Our god just likes to hear from his subjects from time to time.

Sort of like Elizabeth I of England.

You are right, but excluding macs completely is kind of unfair.

EDIT- and im not just saying this cause i long for a staff position at SEN or anything that your over-technical minds think up of.

There is just the large number of Windows-Only maps and files. Not to mention MODs are windows only. The best we could do is have one Mac keeper, but he can't do all that much.

There are windows only maps? Ohhhh yea...
Anyway, ive played some mods on this thing, but i see what you mean.

=/ Meh

It might be smart to hold off, or install temporary leaders in the melee forum. There's almost no one posting there anymore (not to be mean, but you're a little late). Hell, all the people nominating themselves didn't bother to think maybe helping the most recent map might be a better resume than their word.

There are a lot of people who want to be leader, that will probably lose all interest if they're denied, if you make a bunch, it might spark some activity and give them something to, you know, actually moderate and hold contests for. No sense in holding a tournement for 3 people who just stopped in.

Just my two cents,

Devilesk, A lot of the administration dislikes you and I'm sure a lot of other people don't like you.

I know its not about likingness, but devilesk, you will NEVER become a mod. You will probably screw around with stuff and brag to ICL about it.

Meh..

That was completely unnecessary. You shouldn't bad mouth members like that. Even if hes a part of a community you don't approve of, it doesn't mean you can choose his actions. He is more than welcome to sign up.

Once you actually get to know Devilesk, He is a really cool guy. I'm guessing MrrLL has just been on Devilesk's bad side for a while now.

Well.. sorry Yoshi, Its just that he shows no respect to anyone on battle.net in op sen, eg. when he comes in and says "LOL NOOB SEN NOOB MRRLL NOOB YOSHI" and leaves and yes I know he acts completely different on the forums..

And out of curiousity is this for v5?
