Nice intro...Sorta made me cry on the inside...(Keyword: Inside). What units are you planning to use for the map?
Woodenfire's map isn't coming out for 9-10 months so we are going to be here for a long time.
I played both of the maps and it didn't seem as great as you made it seem. It still looked pretty fun but not revolutionary and stuff. Some of the cinematics were repetative and could have used better choices and stuff. But the trailer will probably be a lot different from the finished game so I will be looking for this game.
First off, trailer was made last year (it sucks ASS). Next thing, stop watching the trailer, you should watch the preview. Preview is much better and way sweeter. Oh, and why would I put stuff that's revolutionary in a trailer? I'll save it for the real game. Keep the posts coming! By the way, the trailer is acctually the very first day I thought of this, absolutely no ideas on it, just a half-assed piece of shiz.

Lol arb, I guess that's just your opinion about my maps. Normandy-TWC is acctually a very popular and successful map, and it took me a whole year and a half to make it. Maybe you didn't play it with full house? Or played an older version, I believe Scheisse has posted the map already in the DLDB, go download and try again.
I have a question. Is there a specific character we're playing as, or are we just "That random soldier over there"

dude DLK great fan, im a ww2 fan i have all the MOH,COD,BIA,DOD,WF WW2 games out there and beach head maps. i hope ur project becomes a success. r u gonna have war(xplosions, mortors, artillery, mg42 fire, etc) sounds as u run up the beach?
Yeah, I managed to find some sound files FROM THE MOVIE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN!! They are some nice ass sounds that will make you feel like you're acctually there. Special effects will be major in this map along with story and drama. Gameplay will be like non other. Check out my trailer and preview if you want to see some stuff. The trailer is a year old so don't think that's how the map's going to be like... ROFL! Keep the posts coming, people.

DLK is a map thief. He once attempted to steal my map. He has stole many of other maps such as Battle for Britian. You are worse than any fan boy. My maps will totally roxxer and you such so shut up. First off all your maps have sucked. The only good ones you have ever had are the ones you have stole. Using Archons exploding on hyper triggers is far from revoluntionary. Rommel's WW2 map Day of Days used that so nothing new. If you guys can not tell I hate DLK with a passion. Where is Yoshi, where is Alpha, where is all the other good map makers who know how much of a loser and thief DLK is to get back me up and get rid of him? DLK you are trying to come back with people who do not know your ways, but I do and do not think for a minute I will let you rest. You also tried to steal one of RabidXDogs maps and I think that is why you were banned by Yoshi because you tried to post it on here as your own.
This will have to be postponed for another week, because I was too busy this weekend. No screenshots will be updated until I finish this demo!

UPDATE:
1. Revised shelling to be more realistic.
2. Thought up a speech for Captain Banks to say while in the boat.
3. Thought up a more realistic way to have people get off the boat.
4. Thought up a more realistic way to cross minefields (Mine Detector).

Here's to make things clearer:
1. Captain Bank's speech will not be said here, you have to see it in the game so it doesn't ruin the "moment".
2. Shelling technique: Scouts will be ordered to move to the burrowed lings (you can't see them). You will have only a few seconds to get out of the way, for the explosion happens quickly and it's a very large explosion covering a lot of surface area.
3. To get out of the boat, you must click on the land, for there is water blocking your way. It's an old discovery that I'm using that can make people "hop over water".
4. Mine Detector will be an item that you will have to pick up from a fallen comrade and it will definately be a side-objective to pick it up. If you don't pick it up, you can kiss this game's ass goodbye, your dead. It works by simply creating an observer over your head (follows you everywhere you go). Mines will not chase after you, they will explode if you step on them (revolutionary feature). Mine Detector can be chosen from the Gateway by building a specified unit. You will learn how to play in the first chapter (Boot Camp) and from there on you will be going into battles using information you have learned. Keep the posts coming guys, keep asking questions and always keep your hopes up, I never abandon projects!
I think if they don't get the detector they shouldnt die, just because it's a side objective and those aren't supposed to be required to survive. I think if they choose not to get it there should maybe be an alternate route, or make it much harder to cross the minefield, like make it so if they step on the mines they still explode just they cant see the mines.
Sorry, forgot to mention that there's like 3 ways to get into their base. You could plant a satchel charge near left bunker, go through minefield or just go from the middle area (MG-42 nest is up on the slope from the middle area).
hows the game like after the beach?
do u like clear out bunks and blow up the artillery or like kill germans in the HQ?

Like I said, this map is going to be one of the best RPGs in SC history. You could even play Four Demos on it of other world war events.
