The judges have been informed of their posistion and should have begun deliberating on a promt for the competition and wether or not to allow sprites. Once they have decided I will choose a deadline for entrances and the competition will begin. I will try to get the #1 peice to be added to the terrain hall of fame if the mods will let me.

If there is no distinct seperate catagory for Spriteless, Woodenfire will not be partisipating for Sprites are Bunk.

Hope you don't get scared by this remark...

(I will be submitting my entire Crescent Dyne RPG map for the win unless someone puts a limit of 1 piece per contestant)

Ok thanks for picking me as a judge. From what I think everyone cant do extended Terrain as WoodenFire can so I think sprites are allowed. However, if i see alteast 3 sprites in 1 place or so that will be marked down and so on. So pretty much sprites are allowed however, dont abuse it only use 1 to try to cover up or blend it more. Uh the Judge's will try to come up with a topic ASAP.

You wont but you might mess up because of your time limit and bad we expect you to work on your map also not just work on this 1 terrain for like a few days making all thoes extended terrains XD

Well were still deciding I did spend all the judges a pm about this however, no one has replied yet. But I think we deciding to have sprites but you will get points off depending on the use and etc.

I consider Crescent Dyne exactly what you DON'T want to produce: many, many well blended pieces, that, when added together, form a big blob of nothing. Not saying the blends are bad, Wooden, some of them are quite clever, but there's no vision to it.

Its an RPG's world terrain... It is not supposed to have every best blend put togetherinto one massive masterpiece that you would hope I would create...

My terrain is built for RPG use, not your eye's use. So, without further adue? (Don't care about the spelling of a French word right now), Wilhelm... stfu

Btw the Judge are thinking of that you are allowed to use in game speical effect... and spirtes. Non of them should be abused

At this competition no... also we planning on having more then 1 competition most likely montly if possible or every 2 month and planning on having lots of different type of competition. And we are planning on also having spirteless competition in the future. Sorry wooden.

Hit1kor1 does not wish to be a judge so a new one will be seleected from those who have expressed interest in the posisition.

Ateryu) has been selected as the final judge. Also, if the winning peice is good enough in the eyes of Bee_Keg it will be added to the Terrain Hall of Fame so make 'em good.

I've seen a lot of WoodenFire's terrain, none of them really catch my eye, all of them are blended pretty nicely though...
I like to see nice, exotic looking terrain, not a perfectly blended ramp...
I'm sure if you can pull of some good terrain in a not very commonly used tileset you'd score some extra points.

WoodenFire, why wouldn't you enter a Terrain competition with sprites allowed?

From what the judges think we believe that spirte, effects, and all other are part of terrain. And I believe that it wont make the competition rigged by allowing the spirte to one or another becuase everyone gets to have it. And yes we are planning on grading everything fairly as possible. And give everyone the chance. Maybe the topic we choose might not be your test, however, we plan on having more competition. So Wooden I still think you should enter becuase I know you will do good.
