Liek, duh!

I agree with ya Willie. To bad that's how pathetic the human race is.
One thing I don't get is why some of you are trying to use "numbers of deaths" to prove something. Back in Noah's time killing three people probably was mass murder, while nowadays killing a thousand people is just a statistic. Consider this both atheists and Christians: look in your little "timeline" of how many people have existed. Now, make a pie chart of what percent of existance of the "homo sapien" has been dominated by Catholicism. Are you starting to see my point why it really doesn't matter if Bush got the most popular votes than any other president three hundred years ago? Exponential growth, dear friend! Truly it's not about the NUMBERS of people who were sentenced to death.. it would be the PERCENTAGES of total people who died.
Could someone get percentages instead of wishy-washy loaded numbers?

How come I never see a "Evolutionist defense" threads?

(To CaptainWill): Smart-allic statements are just one more reason for conflict.
Witty retorts are too!QUOTE(Mr.Kirbycode774 @ Jan 10 2006, 12:26 AM)

Because everyone here is doing their own job. if you want to post about Evolutionist defending idea, Ill be more than welcome to start a thread about it. Oh, and I read somewhere that in Jesus' time, the word "virgin" meant "unmarried"... I don't know if it's true or not, but that can answer the Virgin Mary question...
well in back in the day if you had sex before marrage they would most likely stone you or heavily penalize you. so yeah i can see where your going castaminator. if you were unmarried you were a virgin.
To be honest, I think that Christianity doesn't have a shred of proof. But, why do i believe in God? Not to benefit me later (Part of it is) but because I feel guilty. I feel sad. I feel I want to be comforted and be happy with the help of somebody. And the only person I can rely on that I can entirely trust is God. let's face it. I'm weak, and i need the help of others. I can admit that much.
Truly, if we were able to take care of ourselves and have self-confidence, then why would we ever question the meaning of life? Why would we spend hours of Philosophy debating it, making religions to answer it, and use science to try understanding it? The reason is because all people with some knowledge are uneasy not knowing ALL of it. That's where the phrases "Ignorance is bliss" and Socrates' "The wisest is the one who admits he knows nothing" came from.
Man's thoughts can be summed up in Sie_Sayoka's signature... we are wanderers... alone in ourselves.
(Because surely if two people could share the same mind you would never be alone.)
Can a person be truly independent? Remove business, politicians, science, religion, all supposedly man-made things. Is all left you? No; you and nature.
Supposedly, God cursed man to toil the fields but not always bear fruit. Any farmer can tell you that. So, it appears that even if you remove everything man-made, people are still trusting some "thing", some "entity" they still know very little of, which provides for them.
"Let's face it. I'm weak, and I need the help of others. I can admit that much."
You are indeed wise.

That takes some serious courage to say. You've went up a few points in my book.
