And I had HOMAM 3 + 4. 3 is really good.. 4 wasn't as good.

Heroes2 is pretty funny

I haven't yet learned how it all works in h2 but it's very different from h3.

I have heroes3, but I can't send it to you:
1 - it isn't a classic
2 - I haven't got no cd version
3 - It is way to big for my net speed to upload it

Day of Defeat is freaking awesome. I used to play that game. I'd host the server if i knew how. So just you know tell me all about it and ill be happy to do it.

Ok I was wondering...is Quake 1 Supposed to look the way it does all over? The walls and everything look like greyish tiles, except water and lava and sky.

That there would break SENs rules, unless u do it via AIM or something. And I already got Steam, pretty much have all their games lol. Except I think Deathmatch Classic and DoD

Oh its clasic enough! I wouldnt be able to play it though, somethings wrong with it and i gotta found out what it is.

Did you even read the first post? Hes hosting different servers for classic games like Quake, GTA1, and I think there was a Doom there too.

Please don't get this locked by talking about cracked steam

I got steam and I have bought Half-Life1 pack. I don't want to risk loosing it either.

BTW cracked steam isn't needed at all to play without buying games. You need a server patch, server IP, and like CS 1.6 installed form not steam. I have played on few servers before I got steam, but then it screwed my CS and I haven't tried to re-install it.

I am not sure about Half-Life game versions before steam, but steam pretty much screwed them as they would be installed on steam and you won't be able to play even if you find a good no-steam server.

Besides, games on steam are pretty cheap. You don't have to go to shop or something. Downloads are automatic. Pretty good service and user support.

Just save few dollars and get games on steam. It's very easier to pay on steam that trying to avoid paying on it. Man, I spend like 10 hours trying to find no-steam Half-Life server, or a working not used Half-Life cd-key, then I gave up and just bought the game. I was surprised about how easy it was

same here, I have video problems with UT. I solved it but I had to run UT then it crashed then rerun it, and I had to do it every time I wanted to play. Pretty crappy solution

However I will look for a game before it, Unreal...

Do I have to leave my computer up all the time for it to be a server? Because sometimes my internet craps out. (Even though it is cable.)

How much system resources does it eat? Right now I can play D2, StarCraft, The Sims2, play with photoshop and browse many sites without any slowdown. I could probably run more too.

SO yes, I'm interested in serving.

How was ur UT crapping out? mines just VERY choppy and laggy, takeslike 10 seconds for the computer to recognise that I moved the mouse or pushed a button.

How did you fix ur UT? Im reinstalling it now in hope that it'll fix its problem on its own lol.
