StarForge would be best I think, that's what I used to make the terrains you see in my picture at the start. SCM Draft has tiles manipulation too but I don't really use it... so I can't speak for it.

You can get StarForge here

I use SCMDraft myself, and follow a pattern of setting the doodads on the screen, using its illigal placement and then overwriting with the correct tile choice in its terrain area.

2 maps, one with a Dock, a... half dock? you'll see, and my first reservoire. Second map includes a reservoir, stairs, and not much else. Twilight Tileset.

I used starforges Tile Pallete for both.

You could have just said 'no'.
Gee, I thought that you did that manually with normal Staredit![/sarcasm]
Anyway, I might make something cool. In fact, I WILL make something cool.
You'll all see!
And I'll make a brush of it then save the brush every so often so if SF crashes, I can just load the brush and paint it somewhere =D
EDIT: About the first one, OMG SWEETNESS Valahan.
Second one isn't too great though.

"am i the only 1 that doesn't know how to do this? :crubaby:"
If I had the right program, I could make a movie on how for you on how.
It's quite simple, really.
First, decide what you're gonna make. In this example, it'll be a Port like in the first picture in the entire thread.
Then go to starforge, go to Jungle tileset(preferably 256x256 so you have lots of space to messup. Also, if you want the port to be in a lake, instead of having blocky water, make a lake with a normal editor). Now, go to terrain, tile pallete, and look for the bridge doodad, near the bottom, after the big blank black space. Just paste block by block pieces of bridge until you have the port. Then look for the ruin/grass merging tiles near the top(kind of uppish-middle, I guess...)and start putting that onto the ruins. Vwalah, a port.

Yep. It gets a lot easier and faster with practice, and you can use SE to get normal ISO tiles to start with extra quick and easy.

Also, r[t]s, I think everyone here uses the custom toolbrush, haha. I know I do. It's alot quicker and easier. I do square by square, yes, but only initially. After the custom brush is done, I save it and load it whenever I wanna use it.

Here's the brush I currently have for Twilight. I warn though, it is not yet complete. I still have yet to add the left and right corners, as well as the inner left and right corners. I will also make smaller sides and corners (2x2 and 3x2), as well as metal plating, so you don't have to censored.gif about the platings on the bridge. It's a pain.

Speaking of which, I should finish that soon(maybe tonight). Maybe I'll add the "reservoir" brushes as well(they're small, very small, 4 brushes of 2x1).

I'll edit this post when I finish the Custom Brush(or make a new post(and remove the old brush), if people reply before I am finished)

To load the brush, put this in your StarFroge > Data folder, run StarForge, select terrain layer, you will see on the left hand side, under a box with different tiles, a button [ Custom ] click on that, then in the box, click load, select TwilightDock and voila, custom brush.

Enjoy. Oh, and it's for StarForge.

EDIT: Finished the Custom Brush for the entire dock and uploaded the new one. Also have 4 2x2 tiles of "docking floor" and a 2 4x2 tiles of "docking floor". With some fiddling around, you can pretty much make the lines and stuff fit(at least half decent).

Yes, I know the Inner left and inner right corners look like... well they could look better, but it's what I can come up with(at the moment). I will try to make a better inner left/right corners, but not right now. I am pressed for time and gotta go. Enjoy
