There won't be really much to test except a few numerical inputs here and there.

If you ask any of the older SEN members they'd all want armies back, but I do understand what a pain it is to fix it.
All I'm saying is keep it in mind ADMINS wink.gif

Indeed. I remember that also and was very fun while there was nothing else to do with your minerals. biggrin.gif

Meh, that does look like a mess you got there BeeR....... sad.gif I haven't learned PHP yet, but damn that looks like a hassle. But goodluck to you on that.

You'd have to check for every numerical input and deal with the author's ridiculous mathmatical forumlas. smile.gif

We had an army thing on SEN. Thats weird I never saw it. Where was it located at because either I saw it and didn't have enough minerals and just went to the arcade or something. Oh well. If I could I would do the codeing but im not skilled enough to even attempt it. Is this gonna be out in SEN v5 if it works or anything.

I haven't played it, but from what it sounds like, it sounds like that Kings of Chaos game, I think...
Anyway, if it were started out, I wouldn't mind playing it, sounds really fun tongue.gif

I'm going to start saving my minerals smile.gif

Yes, Starcraft Armies and King of Chaos are derived and were taken from the ideas of the same parent game, which I forgot it's name.

ADDITION:
Ok, I've started attempting to fix it but I have a few problems:

1) I have absolutely no way to test it. I've got easyphp and I've put all the files in the www directory, but it seems to me that I need a working version of SeN.
2) I need to know what all the SeN variables mean.

Do you need a server? Because I have a spot on a server that we could use

No server needed, I have Apache installed on my computer so basically, my computer is a server itself. The problem is that I can't run the php files in Firefox, or any other browser. My thoughts are that since there is no Invision forum MySQL, the armies doesn't gather the required input, like member ID and such, and won't by displayed. There is also no CSS template on which it'll be displayed upon.

I need required files and a MySQL to make a test.
Also, half the variables in the files seem to appear foreing, I recognize some, like the memberid, but there's others that I have no clue.

I think it's best to somehow make a closed test, but then that would require additional coding to do. The only real way to do this is to "guess" what's the input variable and set an error if the input is less than 0.

One thing I suggest is that if you fix up Armies impose some kind of limitation on daily activities that you can do. Like on the amount of total purchases or upgrades they can do.

It would save Armies from being incredibly unbalanced as soon as it comes out if people who have been saving their minerals and have thousands to just spend it all at once. Levels the playing field a bit for people who are still gathering their forces.
