It's spelled "Azumanga Daioh" the way you wrote it is basicly how it is pronounced.
If you want something even more random try Excel Saga, I own them both. I think Excel Saga has less of a plot than Azumanga Daioh and they make fun of it in the anime itself.
And if you like totaly pointless anime another interesting thing to check out is Abenobashi: Magical Shopping Arcade.
But back to anime with a point, I just finished watching Full Metal Achemist that series is really awsome. I have 177 episodes of naruto (fansub) I love that show. I'm going to release my first Anime Music Video soon, it is to the anime Rurouni Kenshin.

I know Cowboy Bebop has a plot, I said it doesn't have much of an overhanging plot, not until the end. That's what makes it cool, it's more like real life, though we may have a continously active conflict with someone, day to day life is different each day. Inuyasha is repetitive. Full Metal Alchemist is just lame. Trigun would be good if they didn't try to be funny with "wacky wild anime ha ha ha ha ha ha! Come on, laugh!".
