I prefer the way that SCXE is set up. I am not much into extended terrain and if I do need it I can just open SF and throw it in. As far as triggering for SF, I know the triggering system but just prefer my drop down boxes.
Also Solar are you kinda being closed minded about those that don't use SF? Some people just prefer different things and this is just an opinion about this editor. So do not make statements that are far from true about peoples prefrences.
I personally like scmd better for triggers due to the fact that im an idiot and cant use starforge
but other than that I use starforge for everything else
i use sf for EVERYTHING!!!
any1 got sf 2.0 i think its the best 1...
Yes I do have it, it is pretty saweet, I still use Starforge for everything except for triggers. I use X-tra special editor for triggers!
I use SCMDraft for everything except technical stuff, such as Trigs and Briefs. For those I use SF.
I find that despite having the ability to type well over a hundred words per minute, I can make triggers faster in X-tra Editor than with a text interface.
StarForge has never NOT corrupted any map I've ever loaded in it. Whenever I absolutely need to use StarForge, I make changes to a copy of my map, then manually import the changes with a Hex editor to avoid SF royally boning me in the rear end, as it always does.
If you're going to create a clean, brisk map, StarForge is definetly not the way to go. I find it only useful for terrain editing, and even with that it ruins doodads.
