I have starcraft and it runs fine on my computer. What are you thinking we should do? Right now, i'm just trying a bunch of different things... Anything that comes to mind...

There are several other blends that I have done with the crashed ship that I haven't seen people do. (No not the blocky cliff thing, wooden, that was ugly. bleh.gif )
Keep testing it!

I'm sure that there are at least 20 perfect blends, but i dont see any purpose in having 20 different versions unless it is supposed to resemble an old airfield or airship battle front...

I managed to use the ship tiles to blend ramps, side areas, uneven cliff lengths, and many other things.

Its a good untapped resource of blends. smile.gif

Yeah, i just noticed that it fits in well to lots of my unfinished projects that were abbandoned due to 'impossibility'... Turns out that i was just looking in the wrong spot...

Aight. It's cool.

ADDITION:
well, even though he said he wants to keep his blends secret, I found one in drgpterrain2(one of the files he posted in a forum for all his maps) So, I figure if its out there, and I give him credit, no harm done.

This is a picture of WoodenFire's piece that I managed to find whilst playing his rpg;

As you can see he used one of the top pieces from the airplane to match up with the cliffside beneath the cave.

Wooden, If you want me to take this off, just say so.(i respect your decisions, but you might want to take off the file that has them in it also)

I have a more updated version of that... oO

And that is not from Crescent Dyne... the only place I use that blend is over water, and that my friend, is not over water.

That is an old reference example that I usually put on every map with the pallets cause they are all bunched together...

I don't mind you posting that...

One of many. biggrin.gif

K cool. I just didn't want you getting mad. Do you want me to post the one over water, cause that was on the map 2?

after looking around for a few minutes i found it but personally, i think it doesnt look right in there, its blocky because that specific tile is a brown color and all the cliffs are a light tan sorta color, and i tried to figure out a better way and i couldnt really find anything that i liked, then i figured i would just make the cave doodad and a cliff under it and see where i get from there, after i made that i changed the cliff under the cave and replaced one tile to make the side of the cave blend better into the cliff, and it looks much better than that one... ill post it sometime here...

Yeah, I mean you could try other types of terrain to make an airplane looking thing without using this one, but I agree with what some people have said, theres not much you can do and I think you about did it all, I see a few blocky parts that are really bad but some look great.

I use both. Scm for isom layout and SF for brushes and tile search.

and the one above me, the 2nd screen shot with the 2 crashed planes, the 1st one looks blocky in the front
