The systems are different in pretty much every state. In Texas:
Pre-Kindergarden (Optional, most people don't take it)
Elementary School:
Kindergarden
1st Grade
2nd Grade
3rd Grade
4th Grade
5th Grade
Middle School:
6th Grade
7th Grade
8th Grade
High School:
9th Grade
10th Grade
11th Grade (What I'm going to be next year)
12th Grade
So actually, there's 14 grades (ALL OF WHICH I'VE GONE THROUGH/ABOUT TO GO THROUGH!!!!! >_< + College there's no telling!)
And yeah, my school pretty much sucks. All the interesting/technology courses are taught by coaches, and the only decent classes I've seen so far are the AP classes. I just wish all the computers weren't older than me, and that the computer courses weren't taught by someone who knows less about them than I do.
I liked Texas (El Paso) schools more than I like my current state/county's rules (calvert county, MD).
I just recently got outa HS
ya during the year i went to classes about less then half the time...
all i did was hop in my friends car and we went out and got high as hell

yep good times good times....
ya i think thats the only good think about that school
I live in WA (USA) and its 9-12 in HS 7-8 in MS and 1-6 in ES
yep and WA has good colleges/universitys but there HS,MS, and ES schools are hella poor, cept the private HS
which cost 10k a semester...

im a freshy (freshmen-9th grade) or addleast I will be one after summer...not that excited because everyone I've asked says 9th grade is the hardest year.
I said 13 years (if you include Primary)...
14 if you include 'pre- school' or 'pre-k' as they're called.
i'm a senior, for the non canadians thats grade 12
but u guys forgot theres a grade 13 for some provinces
We used to have grade 13, but they took it out a few years ago.
So peps in grade 13 are 19?... Hmm odd I would rather go to college lol haha.
So you guys had 2 graduating classes that year?
I'm in grade 10, I guess. I just finished freshman year. I'm going to take geometry over the summer, along with physical science so I can take grade 11 classes instead of grade 10 classes, though.
You serious lol, where you live? And how are you going to take them at a college or something? My school doesn't allow me to do that. And Geometry/Alg2 is a freshman class for my school... I'm going to be a sophomore.

Yeah, my brother was in grade 12 at the time, so this made getting into university 2x as hard.
