I did some checking since Moose made me a GM. Posts from his account have been made under 4 different IP's (when he was in charge of SEN, after he left SEN and decided to vent pent up aggression?, and 2 in his most recent visit in the State of SEN thread are how I can see them distinguished) and I'm pretty sure editing a post doesn't change the IP of the post. But as far as I can tell he admits to posting in all three IP's.
If someone finds out that the IP linked to a post does change when edited by the author then you can confirm that it was him who made those changes and not someone else. But I like the justice system where people are innocent until proven guilty.
ADDITION:
Editing a post does not change the listed IP for that post.

I saw yoshi signed in as anon... and since I wanted a recent ip address, I grapped his session ip. It was the same on that day. It doesn't mean it was the same when the post was edited. However, wtf? Either he did it or he intentionally let someone else do it.

All isps have specific blocks of ip's they hand out when you connect. While 56k's might change a lot... they will usually be in a range, something like 53.46.xxx.xxx
