the only bad thing is that you need to have that 5th comp.
btw can you just make that it creates marines instead of adding deaths?

No, it doesn't add deaths.

Its point is that it works out who has killed by who has higher kill level and works from that, not the deaths.

Based on the triggers provided by bolt, i dont think that map will work.
Lets say player 1 had already killed 10 marines and player 2 killed 0 marines so far. Once player 2 makes his first marine kill, his kill count of marines compared to player 1 will be 1-10, meaning he still wont have the highest kills of marines so that money trigger wouldnt work for him?

what happends if two players kill a marine at the same time?

No because Player one gets his kill score set back to zero straight after, so it won't be at that level. It'll be at 0 or 1...can never remember which!

arg didnt we go over this... the computer wouldnt know who to give the mierals to and if you gave to current player wouldnt the computer recieve the minerals not the player?

Don't like ! disgust.gif
-Using a place for kiling in the map (unutiliseable)
-Need a computer player (8 is not enought, so 7...)

But it's perfect, so who cares about another area in the map.

You don't have to like it... the only reason he posted it was for people who did like it who might want to use it in their maps. As he said, it is perfect and it will work for any kind of unit you choose.
So if you dont like it then dont use it tongue.gif

Unless I did something wrong, this will only work for one player games.
I set it that player one was a computer controled, and make player 6 and enemy for player and make it attack the units, but his score didn't work, unless this trigger only works for human players, these triggers are only for singleplayer map.
And if it is, but I'm probably wrong, there is a trigger that is extremely faster than this.

Trigger
Description:
Simplistic Counter
Conditions:
¤ Player enemey suffered at least one death of unit X
Actions:
¤ modify resources to X
¤ Modify deaths Player: Subtract one one deaths of unit X
¤ Preserve Trigger

I am pretty sure everbody knew this possible trigger, and I am also pretty sure the perfect kill counter only works for human players.

The system is completely brilliant, and this remains regardless of whether or not you care to use it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by xtremebob on 2004-11-03 at 15:12:04
I know its awesome, but the system won't work for more than one person, unless I retriggered it wrong.
I set player 1 to computer players, made player 6 his enemy,a dn told hime to attack the location past all the units and set up a greed board to see if he collected cash.
But he did not collect cash, only I did.
So huh.gif

You triggered it wrong, this system works for multiple player. In one of my earlier post i gave a link to another topic, in that topic it has a general map for all kills using units instead of a specific unit, check that out if your having trouble, it is well commented so it shouldn't be too hard to understand.

Btw the computer shouldn't collect cash, this is made for use of the player. One of the computer is something like a score keeper. He is supposed to have the largest amount of kills of a specific, or of any unit. Whatever your basing it on. But that computer shouldn't gain minerals. He is there just to be a score keeper and nothing more.

I'm a newb in map making...anyone explain this to me please?

Could the Computer which counts as the scoreboard be set up as Player 12, through minor editing of the triggers?
