well he is idea maybe players 9-12 (which is teams 1=9, 2=10 3= 11, 4 =12)
could have something to do with it? cus four more start points that normal and in team melees you can have a max of 4 teams just diferent amonths players on each team?

you could probably get team UMS by hexing some file in sc, and finding the code to place 2+ players on the same start location and slapping it into an UMS map... but then again there are those game types when you start your map... you may have to confuse sc into thinking there is 2 P1's... this might be my next project i go into investigation. (also have you noticed how miner units can walk through themselves while gathering? maybe all units have a double side without boundaries, without doing the stack trick)

i think blizzard did that miner thing on purpose so that more than a few workers could mine from a mine field.

As i keep repeating the process is possible, but almost impossible due to the requirements. I've only seen edited *.got data files on a MOD at http://www.infoceptor.com/ and you'd need a Hex editor and using GotEditor together to get the required result. Team UMS seems unlikely due to the restraints on players, most maps would crash.

Being able to have shared units in UMS would probably make gaming curve like bounds did. (Actually, I would like to see a team ums in a bound, you then could have more intricate obstacles if people could work together properly.)

Hmm... I wonder if we ever were to get Team Ums so there can be shared units and independant units in the game...

Oooh... what if non-allies shared a unit... now that would be interesting... biggrin.gif

Nope, its team melee.

There was this map called don't click the flag, where every saw the 1 flag as their own, and if you click it yoru game crashed.

It was a UMS map.

We were all the same colors in the ally options.

Only 9-11 are unused. I don't know why people are saying player 12 is unused...

Do you know where you get them critters, mineral fields, and vaspene geysers?
