"UFOs" and "UFO's" are both correct.

So you're saying people can say "Look at all the dog's!" or "My test score's are great!"? UFOs is talking about more than one, UFO's is one UFO that has something.

QUOTE
UFO and UFO's are correctly spelt according to www.webster.com .

And according to Ðeathknight, it is wrong.

Saying both 'UFOs' and 'UFO's' are the same, changes the rules of english, meaning any plural-type word can have an apostrophe in it. Example: Persons = Person's ~ That's what you're saying.

BTW what's with the spam chill, max?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chill on 2005-01-20 at 21:59:53
"Dog's" is possesive, smartone.

EDIT: What the hell?

"Look at all the dog's!" is incorrect.
"My test score's are great!" is incorrect.
Saying both 'UFOs' and 'UFO's' are the same does not change the rules of english, you just don't know the rules of English.
And where did I spam?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2005-01-20 at 22:00:47
No censored.gif . Therefore UFO's is possesive.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chill on 2005-01-20 at 22:04:06
Dude stop censored.gif ing spamming. UFO is an exception to the rule. Don't censored.gif about it, I know I'm right.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2005-01-21 at 15:45:54
I'm not the only one 'spamming' here Chill.

So then, Mr. Right, what would be the possesive form of "UFO" if "UFO's" is reserved for the plural form?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LegacyWeapon on 2005-01-21 at 16:28:46
How about we drop this and change the word to aliens?

QUOTE
How much do you get for posts? Well, we used to have this defined chart on how much minerals you get per number of characters in your post. That chart may or may not be true anymore, however, how much characters it takes to get 4 minerals isn't really that imprint. I mean, if you go around making sure your post is at least 100 characters to make sure you get at least 4 minerals, you shouldn't even be wasting your time here.

It's not just a post/topic. It is part of the FAQ and should be spelled right.

In the armies, Psi Disrupter is spelt wrong. It's suppose to be Psi Disruptor.

http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopi...=0&#entry129518[/url] ]You can get minerals by getting a good enough score in the arcade. You can also get minerals by posting in forums with a mineral icon next to them. Be careful though and understand the rules of the forum before attempting to post in these. For example, posting your opinion in serious discussion is all fine and dandy, but if you enter threads just to post "OMG!!! I totally agree!!! BUSH SUCKS!!!", your post will get deleted because it isn't meant for serious discussion (and that means -16 minerals!). Anyways, back on topic, you can also get minerals by playing other games besides the arcade, but they usually require minerals to get started.

It shouldn't say "and that means -16 minerals!". I should say "and that means you lose/loss* 16 minerals!" (Assuming I am understanding that correctly.)

*Depending on which word is correct. The word that is past tense should be used.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by KaboomHahahein on 2005-01-22 at 15:40:11
-16 minerals could mean you go into negative 16 but i think the -16 here is minus 16 minerals.

On the first page, where the congratulations are given to SAMods, "congratulations" is spelled wrong. Oh, and by the way, Deathknight is right. It's just like saying 1930s instead of 1930's.

Exceeding a normal, usual, reasonable, or proper limit.

SAmods was said correctly. It is their URL and you can't put ' into urls.

I thought Yoshi put in his rules you can't speak in foreign langauges pinch.gif

Also, Yoshi do you ever get PMs when people send them to you? I remember around a year ago i sent a pm or two about spelling mistakes in the random map making tips; did you ever get them? Lol speaking of those tips, my random tip has incorrect stuff.
QUOTE
Map revealers are considered units. They will complete condidtions such as "Player 1 brings 1 'units' to location 1.

......They will complete condidtions such as "player 1 brings 1 'units' to location 1." Got to make this website nice and shiny!

Edit: Just saw another one (You probably don't NEED to change it because it's a very common mistake) The random map making tip was about the difference between setting triggers for players in a force separately and setting triggers for the force itself.
The spelling mistake was in seperately (its an "a")

Hey Yoshi, wouldn't you be able to paste whatever you were going to type for the website using spellcheck before doing it? If it's too much of a hassle, its ok if you don't happy.gif

Edit2: GASP!!! THE SPELL CHECK DIDN'T KNOW WHAT YOSHI WAS!!! Well I'LL FIX THAT *clicks on Learn. smile.gif .....AHH IT DOESN'T KNOW WEBSITE EITHER *clicks on learn again. biggrin.gif
