Anyways... I really don't like the account thing either, but it IS a lot better than the last header. Shaving off 100ish pixels makes site viewing a whole lot better. I'm sure people on 800x600 resolution would think it's a god send...
It's not like it's 100% final... we are still playing around with it. Some aspects of it was so frustrating, so I'm going to take a few days away from it and play with other things first though .

It does not. You have to refresh like three times to have your session updated to a new browser. Go in the control panel menu and set your browser to firefox and look at both... and then do IE (ie will be the same).

Personally, i like better, because it's smaller and i never use the menu, so smaller it is better it is. and i got a question : how do you make the list of users in a channel ??? And how can we change the color of the bars under our title ?? Is it with minerals ??

Helping 800x600 users is stupid. Almost all monitors can go to 1024x768 and the new quotes are too skinny, and I would give money to get the old My Account back.

I love 4.1, it shaves a lot off the top of the page. Less useless room being taken up in my opinion.

I really like whats been done with the drop down menus, it was kinda hard to find everythign but now it's ok.

What I don't like is that Op Staredit.net channel thing with all those people. When there are less than 7 people it looks great but then when there are lots of people it looks ugly with those bars around it.

Actually, it's funny, because if I'm understanding your post in it's entirety and the motive behind it, you think that sad face was because I didn't like it. That somehow it was making me sad because people (such as you) did like it.
But... no. The sad face was because the majority of the work was done by me and I guess people like you don't realize it, at least, it appears so by your comments. It didn't bother me at first, but I guess now it kinda does, after all... I was the one who poured countless hours into it.

You code for the biggest range of users.
Besides, some people who are in school or work or whatever use 800x600 with no choice to up the resolution because the settings are locked down. I know my college was like that.

Anyways.
Updates on the layout:
The channel / member bar's transparency levels was weakened and darkened.
The member bar's font size was restored and underlining to the links was removed.
"My Account" now is aligned with your account name.
Firefox's navigation bar transparency color was changed, less tealish.
IE's channel list no longer shows the horizantal bar (biggest plus I'm sure).
IE's navigation bar opaque color was changed, slightly lighter.
IE's drop menus are now aligned centerly like Firefox's.
IE's menu header links now give the correct background size on hover.
Games is now in alphabetical order (haha).


Any comments on the new colors would be appreciated.

Yeah, I like the j/s menus but the new quotes and my account are ugly. I don't care about an extra 200 pixels being used at the top; you have to scroll down a lot to reach the bottomt of the topic anyways.

it's too squashed and convoluted. I liked it in a green box going vertically like 4.0. And the quotes are too skinny, you especially need to get rid of the neon green to the left of it.

EDIT: Quotes are better, but the neon is too bright.
