People have forgotten about it, i think it should go down in the History Books, every child, as little as a Second Grader should learn about the events that happened that day. Seeing as though people just try to Pretend like it never happened and move On. what if your one of those familys?

What then?

We cried for a good year or two about it, now we're preventing this from happening again, unlike if John Kerry won the election.

Haha. Yes, let's get rid of all birth control related items. Because obviously, people never have sex for fun.

Well, obviously people have sex for fun, however it isn't completely neccesary for any reason other than to reproduce.

I don't know if Gay sex (once the couples are married) is right or wrong, neither do I know if kissing a member of the same sex is right or wrong, but I do know for sure that just being naturally gay, without actually doing anything that suggests gayness, isn't wrong.

A while ago, I was looking at one of the TIME Magazines and of their feature stories was about Gays. I looked at it and it showed lots of gay people actually sharing their experiences as gays; how they got their first attraction to the same gender and stuff, like every person going through puberty does. They went to plenty of camps, particularly christian camps, and basically all got together and have a very good time sharing each other's experiences and all. Apparently, you could tell that these people weren't gay because they chose to be. You can't choose your personality (like having an attraction for same sex) but you can however choose your actions which suggest gayness (like marriage, sex, kissing, etc.)

Not really. If you think about it, we're creating even more hatred against us; Thus, more 9/11s will happen

If our government allows it to happen again like they did with the first one.

You people are blind as hell. on 9/11 justice was dealt to the US. The same "justice" we are dealing to the mid-east. Explosions and death. In different forms, but death nonetheless. They attacked us on 9/11 for the numerous years of death we have caused them. Our embargos on Iraq effected the civilians, not saddam. It was embargos on medical supplies and food. It caused more death then saddam ever did.

You know what, we were attacked by the very "faceless coward" we trained to remain faceless. We trained terrorists to defeat the soviets in afghanistan. Freedom fighters when they fight for us, terrorists when they fight against us. Same goes for "Reagans Freedom Fighters in El Salvador. Our coup in Chile of the elected leftist government, our overthrow of the elected government in Grenada, and so on. The United States has a double standard when it comes to world politics. Using a "terrorist attack" and a perpetual war to smokescreen a power grab by the executive branch. The Patriot (Enabling) Act which erodes our basic civil liberties.

In 1776 we came out of bondage with faith, understanding and courage. Even against great odds, and with much bloodshed, we battled our way to achieve liberty. Liberty is that delicate area between the force of government and freewill of man. Liberty brings freedom of choice to work, to trade, to go and live wherever one wishes; it leads to abundance. Abundance, if made an end in itself, will result in complacency which leads to apathy. Apathy is the "let George do it" philosophy. This always brings dependency. For a period of time, dependents are often not aware they are dependent. They delude themselves by thinking they are still free - "We never had it so good." - "We can still vote, can't we?" Eventually abudance diminishes and dependency becomes known by its true nature: Bondage.

Remember this quote: "When the people are afraid of the government, its called Tyranny. When the government is afraid of the people, its called Liberty."

Hmph, well I don't believe in god, after many of my experiences and looking back on a lot of many religions' histories; I find them misinterpreted in the modern age and somewhat unbelievable in the fact that it could have been faked or made up.

This has little to do with the discussion but I find this kinda interesting view.

Whenever I think of Jesus running around with his apostles and other followers I usually think of two Roman aristocrats on the street talking, like so....

1:Hey have you heard of this new cult that's happening down in the israel area?
2:hmph, I'm sure it's the same old story just like the other ones I've heard.
1:No, no this one has actually picked up quite a few members.
2:don't they all (rolls eyes) I really don't need to hear more of this trivial stuff
1:AH, but heres what clinches this story. The leader believes himself as the son of god!
2:(Laughs) really!?
1:Well I'm not sure if that's true, I've just heard rumors. What I do know is that some of the roman officials down there seem to be preoccupied with this group.
2:Wow, he must be a good orator then, to actually get enough people to cause this kind of trouble.
1:Indeed, which is why I found it interesting.
2:Yes very. Anyways hows....

I don't post on SEN often, this thread caught my eye. I saw you're reply and I couldn't help but have the same view. I've always told people, if Charles Manson lived 2,000 years ago... we might be praising Charles, the son of God.

Okay then, let's take a minute of silence every day for 9/11.
Let's also take another for Pearl Harbor.
Let's take a minute every day to remember Gettysburg and time for all the other battles of the Civil War.
We should also grieve over all the men lost in the War of 1812.
And all of those battles in the American Revolution...

Wow, with all those daily minutes of silence I need an extra hour in my day!

I wonder how much longer they're going to do stuff at sporting events... like every time on 9/11 at 9:11 they give a moment of silence... =\

Kashmir, until you can provide SOLID proof that Fox News is the "4th branch" of the government, that it hates liberals, that Bill is racist and an example of when Fox News has been wrong.

Your waiting for what? And when has "Cheeze defeating me" had anything to do with Fox News?

Seriously this is getting old, push up or shut up.

So, let the family grieve. The rest of the world shouldn't have to stop for them - unless your idea of a better world involves everyone attending stranger's funerals.

People die.

I see 9/11 as nothing more than a security breech. Now we have intensely tight security in airports and the FBI can tap our phone lines legally. Wooptie-doo?

In fact, I'm willing to bet more people die in a week from car wrecks than all those 4,000 some people in 9/11...

Oh you can't forget the 50,000 Persian men that died at the hands of only 300 Spartans back in the day!

That's about ten times the amount of people that died in 9/11. Go greive for them, eh?

It may be time to get over it, but it is a big deal. My brother was in that attack, think of how the people feel that lost someone in the attack, do you think they can just get over it? Nope.

True, worst things have happened and things are going to keep getting worst and worst thanks to Bush smile.gif

Ever since the 9/11 attack, everytime I look at the clock it seems to be 9:11 AM/PM. There is only two minutes in the whole day that it is that time and I look at it everytime, everyday. It's kind of weird.
