I see, I didn't think that a single nuclear bomb could take the entire U.S. out. Just a little fraction of a state maybe?

Also, I think that if the U.S. was attacked by such a small state that Americas allys will smash them.

ehh, as to what I know, which could be wrong of course, that 1 bomb could basically take out a city and the surrounding area (A 15 mile radius from blast center)

Wow, this is getting serious, how about some comic relief.

What's green and slimy and crawls up your leg?

A homesick abortion!

Cruzo, condoms shouldnt even have been invented. Sex is not meant to be casual its meant so you can have a baby. Can someone please explain to me why the fetus is not alive and not human? It moves in the womb doesnt it? It feeds in the womb doesnt it? Just because of where it is doesnt make it less human than me or you. And for you people who believe than it would be better to have a child with no life than a hindered life, think, would you rather die, or live a life not as great as it could be? Come on, life is still better than no life.

I totally agree with you about the fetus. It has no "character". But a born child allso doesen't have it for some time. (a fiew months) At that time, the child lives only on instincts.

If a building is half completed, and gets destroyed, would you say "a building was destroyed" or would you say "nothing was destroyed" ?

This is only a test missile, at it does not carry a warhead. Secondly, people have been speculating its launch to come "tomorrow" for at least a week now. It is nothing all the frightening or surprising.

If they are actually going to test the missile I think the US or some other country should just fire a tomahawk missile at them and destroy the launch pad/test missile.  (if all else fails that is, last minute resource)

To destroy a modern nuclear silo you must use a nuclear bomb, they're made specially to hold off allmost everything. (exept a direct nuclear strike, that is)

One missile can hold up to 8 small missiles. The main missile splits, and each small missile gets it's own target as programmed. So one missile isn't one explosion.

Condoms shouldnt of been invented. It just makes people think that once they wear it there protected like a battlecruiser against 2 archons. But fear if not why would they still "do it" if they can get sexual transmitted diesease like A.I.Ds or "da HerpS" or any others they might think of. Condoms just try to force on people like there commercials. Heck yeah there telling 14 year old girls to get pumped. A funny story there was a show that had a fake guy talking to a rapist on a chatroom and when the rapist came to the gag house they arrested him and caught him with 6 beers. And the internet rapists were seeking 16 year old girls just waiting to.... You get the point. w00t.gif

AND it would take like 2 hours for the missle to reach US and thats a bit longer then a finger snap PLUS us has anti-missle missles all over the US that can take out a nuclear missle when its still over the country that it was launched from so owned.

Yea, the US just recently tested an Anti Air gun or missle, can't remember which, probably in case of this happening.

Distance from: P'yŏngyang to Los Angeles is 5944 miles or 9565 km

Its not an ICBM, it wont hit the US.

It's not the United States we have to worry about. It's South Korea and China (mainly South Korea). I just checked, and the distance form Seoul, South Korea to Los Angeles is nearly 6,000 miles, so even if they did fire this missile at the United States, it would never even get close. Besides, we have a ton of countermeasures. The United States can easily shoot down a single missile with an "anti-missile" missile fired from a fightercraft or ship. The only kind of nuclear missile strike we'd have to fear is from Russia or China (which, needless to say, is very unlikely). The biggest nuclear threat is from the ground, where a small cell of soldiers could infiltrate a city and detonate a bomb. However, any of those nuclear bombs would be huge, crude ones, not the sophisticated weaponry that we use here in the United States.

South Korea they could hit with just about any missile, it's only 120 miles (193 km) from P'yongyang to Seoul.

ModernICBMs take around 30 minutes from launch to impact. Smaller missiles take less.

MIRVs are a female dog, but nobody said that North Korea has them as of yet. (in response to he who mentioned them)

The Taepodong 2 in question is on a launch pad, not in a silo.

Firstly, the country at the most risk from North Korean attack (which is altogether unlikely) is certainly the United States. After the US, the next country with the highest risk is Japan.

China is not at the slightest risk of nuclear strike from North Korea, if you've noticed, Pyongyang and Beijing get along pretty well. Neither is North Korea likely to attack South Korea, Pyongyang - Seoul relations, while not friendly, are not hostile either.

Furthermore, the US does not as of this time have any feasible means to stop an ICBM or other missile impact after the missile reaches its apex. It may possess missiles capable of stopping an ICBM in fall, but the net result would be to rain the target area with radioactive fragments and fallout (hit an ICBM, it explodes in midair, not the ideal situation).

The thing is, nobody is currently really threatened by a North Korean nuclear strike, and it is unlikely that Kim would be so foolish as to initiate one in the near future.

Since when was Los Angeles the closest point in the US to Pyongyang?

Unless they waste it on Hawaii/Alaska. No place on the continental United States is at risk from that missile launched from North Korea.

On a side note, please take care to change it so it says North Korea instead of "Korea". I know you may not feel the difference but it is very offensive to Koreans if you call North Korea Korea itself.

We aren't talking about character, we are talkng about thought processes, babies have them, fetuses do not. If a dead tree fell, you wouldn't say the tree died, if a living tree fell, you would say the tree died.

That cant be true. Just because its in the outside world means it can think? So im geussing it cant think at all in the womb.
