I believe the founding fathers meant for this country to be free for all of any religion? On a sidenote America's a country not a state.

There would be a lot more pointless posts such as this one.

What if someone was even more powerful than Bill Gates.

Then he/she would make the world a better place.

What if you had to answer this question?

No, in order to be taken seriously, they want to be viewed as a threat. Kim feels that if the world doesn't view North Korea as a threat, the world won't listen to its requests and/or demands.

Yes, many times.

have you ever gone to an ATM machine with a bunch of people in line behind you, and withdrawn money, then when it spits it out yelled,"YES I WON!!!"?

Yes, but their attempts are pathetic. I'll compare...

I live in Latvia, it's a small country. Our goverment thinks that those 2 tanks, 2 jet fighters, and 3 helicopters that we have can seriously do something/make someone pose us a threat. Those helicopters, tanks, jet fighters require huge (for our country) amount of money to keep up. The same here. You can build a nuclear missile, but you gotto keep them up for long periods of time, and you have to have more than a couple of them.

I don't remember what small european country, but it has no army at all. They have armed police. Why have an army if it is pointless anyway ? Why have missiles if everybody else has more missiles, anti-missile systems....Or follow the stream or waste money.

Then I would answer it with something silly and/or absurd.

What if we opened a Fight Club exclusively for fighting pineapples?

Thats not much of an army. =/

U.S MILITARY EXPENDITURE: $440 billion
S. KOREAN MILITARY EXPENDITURE: $21.06 billion
GERMAN MILITARY EXPENDITURE: Approx. $30 Billion
JAPANESE MILITARY EXPENDITURE: $45.841 billion (2004)
N. KOREAN MILITARY EXPENDITURE: $5.2174 billion
Even if North Koreans have a lot of troops and equipments, the equipment they have is still Cold War era weapons.
I don't know why they even try.

Omg, Federation?! Like in Gundam?!

America isn't a Christian state, but the majority of Americans are Christian. This isn't as large a majority as it once was, but there's this "Fundamental"ist movement going on that amplifies everyone's Christianity 10x.

People seem to really like the Demiurge, I don't know why.

That's what I'm talking about. If you know that you won't be able to create something powerful (army, nuclear force), why bother in your pathetic attempts ?

Arb, as always, I Wub You! freakin-A-Right we deserved it. Whether he planned it or not, he knew of it and when and where and did N O T H I N G ! He used it like the Burning of the Reichstag to implement the Enabling Acts which would turn America into a country of warfare who invades other countries based on lies. Damn doesn't that sound freaking familiar! Wake Up People... the revolution is on the horizon!

Here we are yet again, number five. The idea is to set a common theme and a bunch of rules and judging criteria tailored to it. The winner is the one who makes the best map featuring the theme. Now, I'm not asking for anything big or extravagent, because you'll only have about a week to make your map. Maps will be judged by me or anyone I deem fit to judge the maps.

I should mention we're upping the prizes.

July's Theme: Christmas
That's right, Christmas in July. Of course, some of you might not celebrate Christmas, in which case you can substitute a holiday of your choice. This is very open ended, maybe you need to help Santa get all his presents out, be an evil elf destroying all the presents, or even some dude on a quest to witness the Festivus miracle. No shortage of potential here.

Guidelines
» Must be an original map not made prior to the contest. Steal a map or send in an old one and I'll eat your children.
» No map dimensions larger than 128x128.
» No map over 400kb.
» Any number of players acceptable.
» No team projects.
» No modded maps (SCMLoader, etc).
» You may submit up to three entries, but only the highest scoring entry will be placed and recieve a prize.
» Submit as many updates or copies as you have to up until the deadline. The latest one I recieve that is still valid is the one entered.
» No entry fees.
» Feel free to protect your map. The playing end will be emphasized more than the creation end. I didn't even open any of last month's maps in an editor.

Time is up, no more maps are being accepted. GG.

Judging Criteria
Theme (10) - Obviously this one is important. If the map isn't even remotely related to the theme, it won't score very well. A map scoring 0 on this won't be graded further, regardless of how well it fits. Something that looks premade and just custom fit with a few text messages won't score very well.

Fun (25) - Important for me as I'm playing the map. Am I running around having a good time, or watching a unit talk to itself in a movie? Are there huge bugs that prevent play of the maps? If I ever go to this map again, is it going to be to play it with friends or to delete the scm/scx? This is usually the deciding factor in contest entries.

Professionalism (15) - Did you use one type of terrain tile? Are there mispellings distracting me at every turn with some poorly made triggers? Got a bunch of unit unplacable errors? Hopefully you can create something that looks and feels decent. I'm not asking for extensive extended terrain or hundreds of sprites, a map that seems well-made and bug-free scores very well. On the subject of professionalism, please PLAYTEST your maps before submission. Nothing looks dumber than a map that obviously hasn't been tested.

Prizes
Yeah, you thought I'd just make you do this for fun? Prestiege? Honor? HAH!

First place: 800 minerals
Second place: 400 minerals
Third place: 200 minerals
First, Second, and Third place entries all go into the Map Spotlight on the front page.
Noteworthy Mention*: 100 minerals
*to be given at my discretion. Nobody has to win these.
