Considering the billions of stars and countless planets in the universe, I find it very hard to believe that somewhere, however distant, there exists some kind of alien life. I'm not sure wether or not they are "intelligent" but I am sure they exist.

Its more than simply lebanon and israel. That entire region is getting hot.

I think that there will be life, and even intelligent life someplace in this universe. Given the timeframe of the universe, there might have been many fountains of life that have already passed by. I doubt we'll see any before our sun dies out though.

deffinately a yes coz like we can only naturally live in earth coz our bodies can only function here with the stuff were provided but that doesn't mean other creatures need what we need so it is deffinately possible there is another race out there that may or may not be smarter then us just because they are "aliens" doesn't mean they have to be smart aliens. and yes there is the whole are they aliens are we the aliens well aliens would be reffering to the people that arn't from our planet and who knows they might want to take our planet even if we are weak for resources or something maybe they would ignore us coz were stupid *points at rantent * but yeah its possible...

Well no actually because Global warming is spread waaaaay around the earth. Many cars from Asia contribute vastly to this cause. The cause is pretty international, and all the countries are sorta like a linked cause to global Warming. Chances are if the States banned cars for a year or so, that would merely slow down global warming a small amount. The whole world has to work together to stop it or maybe even slow it down.

The US forces are now pretty much bystanders as the country descends into a state of civil war. There's little, if anything, that they can do to prevent the violence between Iraqis.

Most of the US army in Iraq is holed up inside a network of giant fortresses collectively known as the Green Zone. In there they're safe, but can do almost nothing to contain the violence spreading across the country.

How is the US Army - designed for lightning wars of mobility and tactical firepower - supposed to fight an enemy which is hidden from them most of the time? Insurgents all have different motives for opposing the US, including religion, economic distress, loyalty to Saddam Hussein or even Al Qaeda links. When they're not fighting, they're living normal lives and as such cannot be tracked down and eliminated by US forces because of their anonymity. The US Army is not capable of dealing with insurgencies and guerilla warfare, as Vietnam demonstrated last century.

Failing to disarm the Iraqi army in 2003 was a big mistake by the Americans. Many demobilised Iraqi regulars went home with their weapons and became insurgents. With their military training they have been able to cause the US some serious problems, notably in Fallujah (which many Iraqi soldiers had their homes before the war).
