MAP SIZE INCREASED!

I spent a bit being as efficent as possible with the terrain.

Well, here we are. I compacted some of it, moved some things around!

how exactly do you encrease you map size after you all ready started on it with a difernt size?!

He didn't increase the map's size literally, he was just moving terrain around and using it efficiently. wink.gif Honestly I think it's much better like this, when I first saw it I asked myself, why is he putting all that in the middle and making to seperate areas for insides of buildings ect... But, good show, Yoshi, good show.

Since the game is going to be interactive on every level, why don't we have a little brainstorming session...? Will you be able to talk to people inside buildings and such? If so I think that what they say should be very randomized (not random), so they'll say something different everytime you go up to them.

Okay everyone. I know I haven't worked on this much, heres the deal:

I have hundreds of awesome ideas which I will implant for this map. However, I am no longer telling anyone tongue.gif

It appears that all my techniques have been ripped. Not like thats a bad thing, but if I keep it up, Matrix will seem like crap.

I'll have a few topics in about random things I'll need.

Alright guys, im bringing this thread back to life.

Great things coming:

If by special abilities you mean out of combat things, include a heal for a price. Also I'm not sure what unit the hero is going to be, because you said you were abandoning Neo as a playable character. If you could tell what unit it is that would help.

special attack ideas:

Break Attack: theres a ling that moving right and left and you must bring a unit to a loaction the ling must be in the middle then it does a spoecial attack if not then it does simple damage.

Charge Kick: You must bring a unit to a loaction as many times! In a a matter of time! If you bring it like about 5 then create five of yourself it lasts 5 seconds!

Make the name of Yoshi's alpha demo shorter. The name is too long. So like just put it "Yoshi's Matrix Demo" or just delete a part of it.

Classic Error Message...

Special Ability;
Mind Control, take over a single opponent for a small period, they cannot be attacked by their own followers during this time
Two types of upgrades
Either slowly allow more than one to be controlled for a time,
Or the unit becomes fully yours for a longer period of time, but only one! And enemy in the end can fight it too...

I have a question... In the demo when you use bullet time ... are the enemys supposed to stop attacking you?

Ability : Leap...

Cant remember if you have this but like the movies they can jump long distances. mabe you turn them into an air unit for 5 seconds then turn them back... although this might cause problems for buildings. Im sure you could fix it biggrin.gif

PS: Can you post your screens again... the ones on the front page don't work...

Hows the menu system going to work? I'm making a menu system collection map which I may or may not release for people's reference, so I'm interested in knowing.

Also, if you have a 'leap' ability and it "expires" over invalid terrain (when you're an air unit), you could have it "fall" by ordering it downward (or using relativity grids and moving it downward), where the distance "fallen" amounts to the amount of damage taken.

Just a random idea.
