Stem Cell Research is unethical, thats that.
Who are we to play God?
Anyways if we were to do stem cell and it worked, the body would have no soul, there for it would not function.

Unfortunantly for you, the body doesn't need a soul to function, nor does it have one. The body needs a heart, a brain, and the other main organs to function. If stem-cells can provide that then yes they can help make bodies that function.

yes... very efficient syphon. dont you think that'll kill them before they can generate power? =/

I ment liquidizing/burning them for power, some way to make bio-energy. Like in the Matrix.

Stay on topic. I'm asking about what you guys think of the veto itself. Was it a political or moral move?

Definantly political. If there were statistics that had shown that 80% of America was for stem cell research he would'nt have veto'd it.

Welcome to SEN!

Minerals are just used to get stuff you want!  TO buy stuff at the store (Store = useless!)  You can get signatures made for you and people sometimes give minerals for them and when you want to enter contests you have to give minerals to enter!

I think there are other alien organisms, but I highly doubt we will see something intelligent, or at least not for a very long time.

It's amazing how easy it is to get people arguing about AMDs, Pentiums, iMacs, or whatever their preference is, eh?

At any rate, welcome to SEN. And remember, gamble with your minerals until you get stinkin' rich!

Oh my... a Magic: The Gathering quote. Hehe, nice. I'm a retired player myself. But just so you know, I really, really hate slivers. smile.gif

I like your take on the balanced approach. I always really appreciate playing maps where you can see how much thought was put into the design and achievement of interesting gameplay.

You won't see me much unless you stop around the modding forums (great place), but you'll get to know the guys in the mapping forums, no doubt.

Welcome to the SEN community. smile.gif

Should we go out into the Virtually Unknown, Search for another intelligent Life form, or Should we Colonize the very Planets that Surround us. If we could, Should we go out and Explore?

What do you think?

Some parents of Mentally Retarded Children ( Down Syndrom ) Have their Children Cosmetically Changed Facially in hopes they fit in and aren't Outcasted.

A Small Study was taken in a Kindergarten Class in San Diego about This.

A Picture of a Down Syndrom patient of his PRE-OPERATION and a Picture of his POST-OPERATION were shown to the Students and these Questions were Asked:

Which Child Would you be Friends With?

87% Said The POST-OPERATION

Which Child Would you Talk To?

90% Said the POST-OPERATION

What do you think, is it ok for these parents to have their Children Cosmetically changed? Is it ok for them to make that Decision for their Children? Do you think the Children with Down Syndrom should have a Choice if they Could Understand and if they understand.

Yeah, whatever reasons there are against this just don't hold up. If for nothing else than for the simple fact that, whether we do it or not, it's going to be done. Eventually. Somewhere. And then someone will capitalize on it, and whether we stand on the moral high ground or not is irrelevant. They'll be the ones able to call the shots on the matter, morals be damned!

No amount of low IQ presidents or moral preaching can stop technological progress. It'll happen one way or another.

A brain which controls the heart and the other organs. But what does the brain also do? It thinks, it has a conscience, an ego, and many other things which makes up the soul. So the body cant function without a soul.

There arn't to many useful resources on earth that we are running out of right now that we will find on other planets. And colonizing other planets at this point is very impratical, would cost billions of dollars for very little gain. So in the future yes I do think that we should explore the unkown but for now im content to stay here tongue.gif

We've got enough to worry about here on Earth. Why must we waste our valuable resources in order to do search for things that probably don't exist or not instead of utilizing them to make our world a better place?

Yeah well some people think that since we have basically created a number of major problems on this world we should spread our plauge called humanity to another world to follow the same mistakes. They think that starting new will be better than dealing with the old. However we will probolly end up getting boned by the zerg.
