No, I skipped it considering it aired 2 days after I saw An Inconvienent Truth. I don't share Al Gore's faith in the American people.

Cars aren't the only cause of carbon emissions, but they are still a big contributor.

(Source - A large part of "Liquid Fuels" is gasoline used in cars/trucks).

Auto efficiency is also one of the easiest things to drastically improve without massively impacting anything else. In addition, another relatively easy change to make is a major improvement to our mass transit. This would drastically cut emissions because people would need to drive less.

However, oil companies, refining compaines, and car companies stand to lose significant amounts of money if we take such steps, and they have a huge sway in the decisions of the current government.

All that matters is that we stay at the front of technological advancement. We still get the most patents on average a month, but I'm not really sure how long we'll retain that position (and that frightens me, unlike many people).

As for stem cell research, I just read that the left (the good side of politics) was starting to smack the right around with their new "pro-life" stance (i.e. saving a person's life because of the advancement of stem cells). However, I'd like to note that Mr. Bush supports the clinics that actually harvest the stem cells. I'd also like to point out that the vast majority of them get thrown out (they're supposed to be used for adoption). I believe that... Senator Specter shot out a statistic that a whopping 0.032 (thirty-two thousandths) % of the stem cells were being used - the rest were being thrown away. So, why would we throw these valuable tools away instead of utilizing them?

I support stem cell research (embryonic and adult) in nearly every facet imaginable (and those that don't I hold no opinion on at the moment).

I believe it's the future of medicine, and nothing the right can do will halt its advancement. Let me be blunt - the ignorance of the conservative base saw a short revival with the advent of the Bush era, but I think Americans are starting to catch on that conservatives are a load of crap.

P.S. Adult stem cells do show a good bit of potential, but embryonic stem cells have many pros over their siblings. Here are a few:

1. They're easier to harvest.
2. There is a lot more to... how do I word this? gain from each clump of embryonic stem cells.
3. They can turn into any cell found in the human body, but adult stem cells have shown limitations.

Hello, and Welcome to SEN!

Your God: IsolatedPurity
Your Pope: MiniMoose 2707
The Real Maker of SEN: Yoshi Da Sniper

Do you mean 'Upload' your maps to SEN? if so, go to Add Files on the Left side of the DLDB (Downloads DataBase, under Mapping) And put your name, the author, a description of the map, and which directory your Map should be under. Then attach the map and if Moose (or any one else) accepts your map, Itll will be in the specific Directory and will be there for people to see and download.
