QUOTE(Kashmir @ Jul 31 2006, 01:36 PM)
After reading the 2nd or 3rd one, I realized its bullcrap. You don't need to dial NORAD. NORAD has some of the best radar in the world. Its a FACT that NORAD was alerted to possible hijacked planes. Yet still had only 14 jets in 48 states. Lets see... Andrews Airforce base is less then 30 miles from the Pentagon, and the Pentagon attack happened an hour after the first tower was hit. That gives an hour for the jets to fly 30 miles, which isn't far for a jet. So your telling me, its a coincidence that for the first time in its 50 years of operation, NORAD stood down?

Sounds fishy to me that even one jet couldn't take off from Andrews Airforce Base within an hours time to stop one plane.

BTW, people ask why they would do it? Heres why. Operation Northwoods, same plan, same reason. War.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods

Hmm sounds kind of Familiar... BTW Holy, please identify one passage in my previous link from my other post that is false.

It's not that he's wrong, simply enough, he's not looking at all the possibilities. For instance, when he's going through the fact that the steel collapsed due to heat that jet fuel causedd, he ignored that steel loses strength at a much lower temperature than its melting point. Also, there could have been a number of materials within the rooms to make the fire heat up to the point it did. It's tiny things like that allow there to be arguements.

However, the main thing is, we are not perfect. We can have the best radar, we may know there are possible high-jackings, but does that necessarily mean we instantly know which plane? No, it doesn't. And for all we know, there could have been complications with NORAD, so they may not have been able to react.

By no means am I saying that all your information is 100% false, I'm saying that there could be possibilities as to why some things may or may not happen that are not included in the link that could change the conclusion.

In my logics, suicide is a sin because God worked hard to create you, and you destroy his creation, so God goes like "You destroyed all my hard work".

Then perhaps maybe he shouldn't have created something with the capability to commit suicide? Anyways why should he have pride in his work? He is supposed to be omnipotent and above such things as pride and anger. Everywhere you turn it contradicts itself.

Kame, tell me this, if God is a forgiver, why does he make children who worshipped other Gods suffer eternity in Hell? Because his eternal forgiveness only extends to white Christians, right?

There is no Hell. It is an invention of the Church for purposes of subversion and oppression, because they decide who goes to Heaven and who goes to Hell, and thus can goad money out of believers and rally up armies against "sinners".

I personally think people make themselves feel guilty over nothing. To quote the Grapes of Wrath: '"Well," Said Casy, "for anybody else it was a mistake, but if you think it was a sin-then it's a sin. A fella builds his own sins right up from the groun'."'

It's your life, and you have the right to take it. There is no action that can really be considered inforgivable.

I don't really undertsand what you mean.

I'm actually reading a new translation of the Old Testament. The correct answer would be "Ham saw his father naked", as the curse of Canaan basically justifies every horrible thing that is done to the non-Hebrews.

God does make it harder for humans, but he doesn't give up on them right then and there. Then again, according to Gnosticism, that was one of our best moves yet, that "God" is really the Demiurge, who wants humans to be ignorant and trapped in the material world, and the serpent was a servant of a higher plane of existence.

I think the comments on this thread about how he "could've escaped" and how it was stupid to "give up" are insensitive towards the victims in the attack. If you're on the top floor of a 90+ story building, and the building is collaspsing on itself, your chances of escaping are ABSOLUTE ZERO.

If given a choice between dieing in a miserable fire pit or getting the chance to jump off a building, hey, I'd be cannon-balling off the top.

Fine Descriptions of Various Changes (mainly thanks to Deathknight)

QUOTE
- Fixed Hatchery cancellation crash bug.
- Fixed a scoring bug that gave Zerg unit points for building cancellation.
- Fixed a rare crash in multiplayer games.

Patched out several resource and supply hacks.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed players to float Zerg Drones over obstacles.

Only partially fixed (one other method remains)

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed Terran buildings to lift off while training units.

Not really fixed.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed buildings to be stacked on top of each other.

This does not disable pre-placed stacking or "Lights-Off stacking".

The following non-hacked glitches were patched. All others remain:

- Nydus Exit Bug: Assisted by the Selection Glitch, allows you to cancel a Nydus Canal's exit and modify the Nydus Canal's unit variable.
- Infesting Crash: A crash involving a Queen when infesting a Terran Command Center, by using a command without selecting a target as the queen is entering the building. Crashes locally only.
- Morph Cloaked Buildings: Cloaked Zerg Drones morphing into cloaked Zerg Buildings.
- Unnamed: Cancelling upgrades assisted with the Selection Glitch on invalid units.

Side Patch Notes (mainly thanks to Shmidley)

-Ladder play has been removed.
-Text effects in force names are no longer possible.
-Overlaps in Map Names cause the map to be unhostable. May be an unintentional side-effect.
-Chat lines now have the player name shown as their player color.
-Player color for player 12+ are scrambled
-Zerg cloaking with an Arbiter (burrow-unburrow method) still works. Cloaked Drones morphing into a building will uncloak with all buildings, not just Hatcheries and Creep Colonies.
-New Starcraft Icon.
-The 2x and 4x speed tricks now cause Starcraft to crash instead of their normal effects.

Other Notes:

The color ASCII tables has been changed. The new values are listed below:

This is, as far as I know, the first update for Staredit.exe made in a long time. Several exploits were patched, and some new features have been added.

This patch is byfar the most detailed I've seen since the lame one-liners, and here, is seen.

There are several misinterpretations of the patch too, as I will be explaining below.

Under bug fixes.

QUOTE
- Fixed Hatchery cancellation crash bug.
- Fixed a scoring bug that gave Zerg unit points for building cancellation.
- Fixed a rare crash in multiplayer games.

These describe several released "Resource Hacks" and "supply hacks" that use valid commands on invalid units.

QUOTE
- Fixed crash when Mac users very quickly cancel connection to Battle.net.

This is unknown to me.

QUOTE
- Fixed crash that can occur when SCVs are repairing a unit boarding a Dropship.

I believe this was already fixed in a previous patch.

Under exploit fixes.

QUOTE
- Fixed two exploits that allowed players to gain minerals very quickly.

This also relates to the "resource hacks" mentioned above.

QUOTE
- Fixed the Nydus Canal cancellation bug that allowed creating a mobile exit.
- Fixed exploit with Arbiter that allowed Zerg buildings to become cloaked.

These are in relation to the "Nydus Exit" and "Cloak Zerg Buildings" bugs. They have been patched. Zerg units can still be permanently cloaked by the arbiter.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed units to kill themselves instantly.

Comfirmed-- is fixed. Although worker units can still suicide with a different command.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed Command Center infestation without a Queen.
- Fixed exploit that allowed Command Center infestation from a distance.
- Fixed exploit that allowed worker units to mine at a distance.

Comfirmed-- are all fixed. This is tool-assisted only. The arbiter-related glitches are still functional.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed players to float Zerg Drones over obstacles.

There were two commands that allowed this to occur. Only one has been fixed. The other remains. In other words, this exploit exists still.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed morphing Terran and Protoss buildings.

This is related to a variety of misc. command hacks that have not been tested in the new patch.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed Terran buildings to lift off while training units.

I believe this relates to the glitch, which still works by the way.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed SCVs to repair Protoss buildings.
- Fixed exploit that allowed SCVs to detach Larvae from Hatcheries.

The first exploit did not exist, however, the exploit allowed an SCV to continue building a protoss building so that it would build twice as fast, as well as detach larvae from hatcheries, and prevent zerg units from hatching.

QUOTE
- Fixed exploit that allowed buildings to be stacked on top of each other.

Stacking buildings still works with "lights off" in UMS mode.

QUOTE
- Playing against illegally named players on Battle.net no longer results in a
  disconnect game result.

This is in relation to a "name spoofer" hack.

Glitch Related
The following non-tool assisted glitches have been patched:

ALL other non-tool assisted glitches remain.

Bugs Caused

- Reports indicate that players cannot play the official PGTour maps online.

Other Changes
- Memory has been scrambled.
- Map Colours have been changed/modified to the following:

1B - - Black
1C - - Black

- Force names no longer read colours.
- Blizzard has implemented a function that makes Starcraft a little harder to hack.

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you think "this patch sucks", etc. Then you probably don't have a reason for it, because you are too ignorant to realize the benefeits outweigh your pathetic force colours.
