I disagree with the 2x and 4x speed crashes and the force colors, but more display colors is a big bonus :-)

There could be a way to Make Overlapped forces come back and people are able to play games with Overlapped Map Titles.

2 words.

A Mod.

Or,

Just program starcraft to read the colour codes for Forces and make people able to join those games. wink.gif

The reason for no more colors and overlaps in force names is so that they can stop name spoofing. I don't understand why everytime there is an unavoidable problem, people foolishly declare "TIME TO MAKE A MOD" that will allow this. Aside from the sheer astounding stupidity of going to such lengths in order to add colors to FOUR text boxes that comprise about 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of any map making project, no one would ever play the mod. Even if the mod were useful, no one would ever use it.

You know what's really amazing? Blizzard "fixed" stacking before and no one mistakenly believed it had been removed the last time. What I find really funny is how many new users registered to SEN just to post false information and complain about the most benign things. I'm sick of people complaining about things they don't understand.

I'm sure force colors and overlapping titles were just an accidental side effect and im almost positive that blizzard will fix this very soon. A little well thought out precise "complaint" to blizzard would make things better so they could realize that people DO care about these things and they could get on it.

Uggh...I hate this damn update, only good thing about it I noticed so far is colored player names. I hate the fact that we cant make colors in forces in the lobby, thats a real bummer. I was also misinformed that all the tricks where disabled, but lucky for me they still work. I love the trick maps.

Btw, the wraith is not "new" its only new to XP. It says it is the default for Mac OSX Starcraft.

Nothing really...just with alot of the people here going back to school and all..itll be hard to finish maps. Unless you spend hours on it on weekends.

Well...whats so wrong about colors? Blizzard was just stupid to disable force colors, its not like it ruined games or anything..

Because they let it go on too long.
For them to let people spend forever making maps like these and they suddenly rendering them useless isn't right.
Good point minimoose, but if they wouldn't fix it why would they add more in-game and breifing colors?

I don't really see the problem. Ok, the joining screen is less colorful now, but on the other hand we get bunch of cool ingame colors, and I really love the new chat coloring, it's awesome. And whole bunch of gliches, exploits and hacks are fixed. They even changed the icon. This patch shows that blizzard still cares about us Starcraft players and maybe they are even planing something special* as this patch was really unexpected and unusual. I love this patch. biggrin.gif

BTW, I hated overlaps because mostly they were made bad and looked stupid. ermm.gif

*Cough.. SC2.. cough*

They didn't intend for us to use those colors either. Do you see them selectable in StarEdit anywhere? No.

UNCONFIRMED, BUT NOTICED BY ME: Cannot load any saved games before the patch. Or does this happen every patch?

Yes DEAD, everyone is entitled to think overlaps are useless, I myself think overlaps make a game no better, but I think you're missing the point that all games with an overlapped title are unplayable, or am I wrong?

This is not an accidently side effect and it will not be fixed. It was done specifically, ON PURPOSE, to stop name spoofing.

Are you absolutely sure that force color's aren't an accidental side effect of name spoofing prevention?
